Shorewall 4.5.0 Beta 3
Beta 3 is now available for testing.
Problems Corrected:
1) The value ''0'' is once again accepted in the IN_BANDWIDTH columns of
tcinterfaces and tcrules, and causes no ingress policing to be
configured.
2) MARK_IN_FORWARD_CHAIN=Yes no longer generates an error when
$FW:<address> is entered in the SOURCE column of the tcrules file.
New Features:
1) The route_rules file has been renamed to ''rtrules''. The Shorewall
and Shorewall6 installers will perform the rename on an existing

"Multiple Internet Connections" with four interfaces
Hi,
I was reading document http://shorewall.net/MultiISP.html#idp3634200.
Inspired by the document I was trying to establish the following changes:
* one additional interface: COMA_IF
* COM[A,B,C]_IF interfaces request IP address via DHCP
* all non-RFC 1918 destined trafic is NATed from INT_IF to COMA_IF
* all non-RFC 1918 destined trafic from GW is routed via COMB_IF by default
* non-RFC 1918

multiple providers and tcrules without highmarks
I was previously using multiple providers on my "real linux" gateway
which had a kernel that supported high marks and I was policy routing in
tcrules. I''ve now moved to openwrt where their kernel apparently does
not have high marks.
I want to continue to be able to have multiple providers and a) policy
route between them and b) be able to set marks for other things like

Shorewall 1.4.1
This is a minor release of Shorewall.
WARNING: This release introduces incompatibilities with prior releases.
See http://www.shorewall.net/upgrade_issues.htm.
Changes are:
a) There is now a new NONE policy specifiable in
/etc/shorewall/policy. This policy will cause Shorewall to assume that
there will never be any traffic between the source and destination
zones.
b) Shorewall no longer

Shorewall problem, perhaps with PPPoE
I have what strikes me as an odd problem with shorewall.
Let me describe my setup.
My desktop (alfred) is connected to the network
through an ADSL modem.
I am running rp-pppoe, and this works perfectly.
I have a small home network, with two LANs;
an Ethernet LAN (including a machine running Windows XP),
and a WiFi LAN, including the laptop (william) I am using now.
All the computers except for
