...plot the bidimensional Autocovariance Function. the input matrix is a matrix that describe a spatial location over a 2-D space and I want to use it in the same way I can use a time serie in the 1-D acf. save a plot from R graphics window (in Windows)
...mes so slow that I'm forced to kill the process. This usually does not happen at the beginning of the session. The problem seems to arise when the system opens the dialog window to choose the directory and file name. (R version 2.6.1 under Windows XP) Thank you all Giovanni -- Giovanni M. ...ck" "other" "white" Thus, here the reference level is "black" and this is a bit strange as the first row of the table is "white". This little "infelicity" is in fact caused by expand.grid. Problems with crossprod
Dear R-users, I found a strange problem working with products of two matrices, say: a <- A[i, ] ; crossprod(a) where i is a set of integers selecting rows. When i is empty the result is in a sense random. After some trials the right answer (a matrix of zeros) appears. --------------- Illustration -------------------- R : Copyright 2003, The R Development Core Team Version 1.8.0

4.7 SMP lockup
Hi, I'm seeing a problem with 4.7 where, very rarely, the system seems to "lockup". No panic is given. I was able to track it down to all processors were halted (in the idle loop) since machdep.cpu_idle_hlt=1. The system is a 2 physical XEON procs with hyperthreading enabled. The system was behaving as though the 8254 system clock was not going off. The only thing I can think of is
