I have a file server with windows and I am creating a new Fedora Core 3 + Samba 3.0.10-1.fc3 file server... But i have many, many files that have chars like ?, ?, ? in their name... When I move the files to the Samba server, all that unicode chars are changed to ? I need a solution for that to move on, because my boss will not like to stop using that chars... Dear Samba members, I am wondering if on joining a realm (with security=ADS), samba 3.x server gets automatically registered with MS Dynamic DNS server. One thing to rule out is that there is a clock difference of greater than 5 minutes between Samba Domain Member and the DCs. Make sure that you Samba Domain Member clock has approximately the same time as the DC.
