Solution for autospec not working
Hello,
I have noticed that, since version 1.1.4, autotest/autospec does not run any
of my specs. After getting a hint from
http://b.logi.cx/2008/10/9/non-auto-spec, I dove a bit deeper into the code
and found that spec is no longer being run by ruby.
I monkey-patched Autotest::Rspec in my .autotest file so that spec is again
executed (using code taken from version 1.1.4). autospec is now

domain user map
I have searched the samba archive site and found a reference to the
parameter "domain user map".
It is also documented in the on-line documentation.
Since I only had samba version 2.0.0 I decided to download the latest, which
turns out to
be 2.0.3. However, this version does not appear to have the parameter
"domain user map"
either!!
I did see in an article from the

Admin UID changed with upgrade to 4.8.2
...13 04:01 Registry.pol*
Look at the date 2014, and i do remember something about this.
But... What does getfacl say about these files/folders Or get my script:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/thctlo/samba4/master/samba-check-set-sysvol.sh
And see if there is something wrong here in you SID/UID mappins
The script does not apply settings by default it only check and creates a file with the acl.
So you can review it.
And post you smb.conf that helps, really.
You updated from 4.4 to 4.8, thats a big step.
I have summerices the smb.conf changes, i suggest review it carefully again.

[RFC PATCH V2 0/5] vhost: accelerate metadata access through vmap()
...t happens if two thread calls a mmu notifier invalidate
simultaneously. The first mmu notifier could call set_page_dirty and
then proceed in try_to_free_buffers or page_mkclean and then the
concurrent mmu notifier that arrives second, then must not call
set_page_dirty a second time.
With KVM sptes mappings and vhost mappings you would call
set_page_dirty (if you invoked gup with FOLL_WRITE) only when
effectively tearing down any secondary mapping (you've got pointers in
both cases for the mapping). So there's no way to risk a double
set_page_dirty from concurrent mmu notifier invalidate bec...

SMB2 weird behavior with samba 3.6 PDC
I tried enabling SMB2 on our network after upgrading to samba 3.6 and
experienced the following problems. Commenting out "Max Protocol = SMB2"
makes the windows7 and vista clients happy.
- [homes] Trying to open a html file in notepad fails on Windows7 Pro
SP1. Opening it in Firefox (default browser) or Open Office works ok.

Are some Group Policies broken?
Not quite 4 years ago I replaced our office SBS 2008 server with Samba4. I added Group
Policies one of which was for Redirected Folders. I created a new GPO, "HPRS Groups" and did
