Promise FastTrak TX2000
Does anyone have this card working in hardware RAID mode? I can see the individual ATA drivers when booting. The promise site has drivers for Redhat 7.3,8 and 9, but nothing for higher. I see the source code, and can build the module, but I need it loaded at boot time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Sean

Help with permissions when moving data between Windows and Samba.
Hello list Samba-3.0.8 on Fedora-Core3. I am currently testing Samba as a member server of an AD domain and using winbind for user resolution. Samba is joined to the AD domain and can I can write files as the "domain\user" on a test share. This server is to be used as an archive storage area so I need to move data from existing Windows 2000 server's to the Samba share while

[PATCH] klcc: Remove the need for bash
Currently, in the entire klibc bash is only used to identify the path of the perl binary. It is doing so using the bash built-in 'type' function, which is POSIX compliant according to [0], but the option -c is not. By using `command -v` instead, we achieve the same result, in a POSIX compliant manor [1], potentially removing the unneeded bash dependency. 0

Winbind + NIS + winbind trusted domains
Hello list, I need to setup a samba file server with user access from a Windows AD domain and a separate Solaris NIS domain. All of our users have an account on the AD domain but only some of our users have a Unix account. I would like Windows users that have a Unix account to have files written as per their Unix uid and users that do not have an account to have a uid assigned from winbind. I

User defined covariate structure.
I am trying to use nlme but instead of using one of the ?identity? variance or covariance matrixes such as compsymm or ar1. Instead I want the covariance matrix to be represented in the following manor. Is it possible to define my own covariance matrix? I have search and found papers saying I can define my own covariance matrixes and own correlation structures. Said use corstruct but not sure

Attachment. who can I best report this to for forensis?
Johan B, please let it through+ The headers are needed. I live in the Netherlands, where the police contacts for this sort of thing are grey and unknown to me. The Metropolitan Police (London only) in England is 100% on the ball, but they're under resourced and I don't live in their "manor" (London slang for area). I'd like to push it out to as powerful an organization

DSCP, ToS and Egress
I''m successfully using HTB + GRED to shape traffic based on the DSCP field. I would like to strip the DSCP and possibly replace it with normal ToS bits on egress traffic leaving my network. Leaving DSCP set is pointless, and could potentially cause problems with some ISPs that use DSCP internally I suppose. Setting ToS bits would seem ideal as most networks still honor it to varying

pks for openssh
I was directed to the following site by one of our customers regarding a keyserver built into openssh. There's a patch for 3.4p1 on their site, but the license isn't very clear, nor is it clear if they have approached the openssh team regarding the inclusion of this subsystem into openssh proper. I've been asked to patch Mandrake's openssh with this feature, but I'm

creating eps files
Hello, For a long time, I have been creating eps files from R using the following command: dev.copy2eps(file="my.eps") This has worked very well. But recently, the compositor of a journal is complaining that "The eps files would be useable except that they have not converted the type to outlines" Sorry for being vague, but I have no idea what this compositor is talking
