Promise FastTrak TX2000
Does anyone have this card working in hardware RAID mode? I can see the individual ATA drivers when booting. The promise site has drivers for Redhat 7.3,8 and 9, but nothing for higher. I see the source code, and can build the module, but I need it loaded at boot time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Sean

User defined covariate structure.
I am trying to use nlme but instead of using one of the ?identity? variance or covariance matrixes such as compsymm or ar1. Instead I want the covariance matrix to be represented in the following manor. Is it possible to define my own covariance matrix? I have search and found papers saying I can define my own covariance matrixes and own correlation structures. Said use corstruct but not sure how to implement it. Also found documentation to use re.structur. If able to help me out it be greatl...

...han B, please let it through+ The headers are needed. I live in the Netherlands, where the police contacts for this sort of thing are grey and unknown to me. The Metropolitan Police (London only) in England is 100% on the ball, but they're under resourced and I don't live in their "manor" (London slang for area). I'd like to push it out to as powerful an organization as possible, that really cares. Newbie: Simple loops: complex troubles
...gn( paste("Ux", k, sep=""), rnorm( n , assign(paste("m",1,sep=""),m[k]) , assign(paste("m",1,sep=""),v[k]) ) ) } The above seems like a lot of work for such a simple feat, no? Also, I CANNot get the following to work in a loop manor: Ux1i<-as.integer(Ux1) Ux2i<-as.integer(Ux2) Ux3i<-as.integer(Ux3) or Sx1<-sort(Ux1i) Sx2<-sort(Ux2i) Sx3<-sort(Ux3i) Maybe I am just not using matrixes enough? but even that seems quite a lot more complex than calling x<-matrix() then grabbing values by x[j][k...

script to rysnc to spare hard drive
...a perl script (or whatever) so i can easily port it to all my servers across my network. So that if hard drive 1 fails, i will just need to pop in hard drive two and be up and running within minutes rather then hours (my last outage was pretty major on my /boot partion and if had rysnc setup in the manor i am speaking of, downtime would have went from 8 hours to less then 30 minutes....) Does anyone have such examples of what i can do to accomplish this? or if even better, someone is willing to create the script in question for some a quick $50 or something like that I have absolutly no problem in...

DSCP, ToS and Egress
...till honor it to varying degrees. The problem is I can see no way of doing this. Since DSCP is needed in the qdiscs for shaping, it can''t be mangled with iptables. According to the packet flow diagram, there doesn''t appear to be any other opportunity to mangle the packets in this manor. Will I need to insert another router in the chain just to do this? :( -- Dan- _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list / LARTC@mailman.ds9a.nl http://mailman.ds9a.nl/mailman/listinfo/lartc HOWTO: http://lartc.org/

pks for openssh
I was directed to the following site by one of our customers regarding a keyserver built into openssh. There's a patch for 3.4p1 on their site, but the license isn't very clear, nor is it clear if they have approached the openssh team regarding the inclusion of this subsystem into openssh proper. I've been asked to patch Mandrake's openssh with this feature, but I'm
