WINE Compile issue latest development release (1.1.16?)
checking for X... no
configure: error: X development files not found. Wine will be built
without X support, which probably isn't what you want. You will need to install
development packages of Xlib/Xfree86 at the very least.
Use the --without-x option if you really want this.
Configure failed, aborting install.
-_- i keep getting random things when i try to install wine this is the latest.

LDAP server, too many open files
I've setup an LDAP server with a slave server on Centos 5.3 X86_64,
replication works, most of the time client logins work fine but I'm
starting to get a error I can't seem to eliminate, it's starting to
cause login failures for users and I think it's causing other
application failures when they try to auth against ldap.
on the client side /var/log/messages shows

Need help on Many to Many Relationships
Hi,
Does anyone know where I can find a full step by step tutorial on Many
to Many Relationships with Rails or can describe the steps in
inserting data into the join tables, displaying the connections, etc..
- I don''t only need the model, but all the steps that you would use in
the MVC architecture to make it work.
I am a new to Rails and I cannot find a complete tutorial on all the

Help with Many-To-Many insert
I am having issues with a many-to-many table. The table relates
resources to standards, but in my resources table has one-to-many
relationships so those also appear in my many-to-many table. I am
trying to insert into the table via:
@resource.core_contents << CoreContent.find(params[:core_content_ids])
But I get this error:

Conceptual Design Question
Hi All,
I am making a DAM (seems to be the hip thing to do these days). It is
for the company that I work for. We have some really weird domain
rules that have prevented me from just using a simple directory
structure file permission system. I have come up with a solution but I
wanted to run it by you gurus to ensure that I am not recompiling the
wheel here.
Basically the domain rule is:

Now you're contradicting LLVM's own description that it's a friendly

COM port issues.
I'm trying to run some old proprietary software which *barely* qualifies as being win32. It installs flawlessly, and has only minor draw issues when it comes to the main screen itself. Everything seems fine and dandy, except that Wine starts spitting tons of errors if I try to make the software talk via the COM port to the device it's supposed to talk to.
The error that gets spit out

A question on Programming
Dear all. Let say I have a group of codes which will be used in many places
in my overall R-code files. These group of codes will be used within a
for-loop (with a big length, like 10000 times) and also many other places
outside of that for loop. As this group of codes are being used in many
places, I thought to put them within a user-defined function.
Here my question is, is there any speed
