maildrop and multi-dbox
Hi there, I'm using Dovecot 2.0.9-1 under Arch Linux. Currently, I have Maildir configured, and I move all my emails into dovecot by using this sequence: 1) cron starts fetchmail periodically under user manfred to collect my mails from various email accounts. 2) In ~/.fetchmailrc I have configured /usr/bin/maildrop as MDA. 3) In ~/.mailfilter (used by maildrop) I have extensive filtering in place and call bogofilter (by using xfilter) to classify spam mails. This works fine so far. Now I'd like to mi...

Increased memory requirements on 1.2
I just recently upgraded a rails app of mine to run on edge (and the 1-2-pre-release branch) and I noticed my fcgis required roughly 6-8MBs more memory after just a couple requests. For example, each fcgi on edge would start around 40MB and rise to ~46MBs after a couple requests. I downgraded my app back to 1.1.6 and each fcgi would start at around 33MBs and rise to ~38MB. As a result of the

Next camping release
Dear camping users, having been contacted by Julian Tarkhanov, I am willing to prepare the next camping release. _why has given me his friendly approval, with the reserve that camping.rb should be lower than 4k. He also told me that he wanted to remove the ActiveSupport and Markaby dependencies. I am writing here to get the users input so that I don''t do any mistake. So far, my plans

Memory problem
...rt images. See below. Within the loop over j (the filenames) memory consumption grows constantly. rm( ... ) inside the loop did not help. Memory does not grow if I remove the writeBin statements between the two #-------- marks. But obviously this is not solution I want... Thanks for any advice. Manfred Baumstark P.S. As I'm new to R: what sort of tests can I make to trace the problem? Failing build is restarted again and again (manual request + Win32)
Dear all, I am a recent user of this great tool for rails development and I have an issue with version 1.3.0. Sorry if I duplicate the question but I have been over the whole mailing list archives and could not find any answer. I have set up cruisecontrolrb on my home server (which runs WinXP, sorry, but it is better for the girlfriend to use than some linux distrib which I use on my laptop)

Shaping incoming traffic?
...s. However, as per the Adv-Routing-HOWTO it appears that only outgoing traffic can be shaped. Is this correct or is there a way of shaping incoming traffic? The problem could possibly be overcome if there is a way of routing traffic through a virtual host. Any tips on how to go about that? -- Manfred

Building under IRIX 6.5 (report)
...there is a problem with make (output below) that can be solved by changing one line in src/modules/lapack/Makefile. If this line is changed, make runs without problems. 'make check' still has a problem (sh[14]: /usr/sbin/perl: arg list too long), but I assume this is "cosmetic". Using ACLs with Samba 2.2.2 on a 2.4.10 Kernel
...iy.h made a lot of definition errors. So I disabled capability.h for building - maybe this is the reason for my problems - but I have no idea for what capability.h is used :-o My next step probably will be to use a 2.2.19 Kernel. But before - maybe somebody know what's going wrong. Camping and Builder and XML
Hi, I have built a simple Camping application which indexes an ODBC datasource using Ferret on startup, then accepts search strings and renders the resulting hit list in HTML, and it works quite nicely. The next step was to alternately render the list in XML for consumption by another application. In Rails, I would simply use Builder in the view to get the job done, and so I did the same in
