Smth. about "Icon=" option in .desktop files created by WINE
When I install some Win32 application using WINE, it creates associated menu item file for it, located at ~/.local/share/applications/wine/Programs/***Program title***/***Program shortcut.desktop***. Well, inside this file I see option named "Icon", where path to some icon is set. Sometimes this path points to some PNG image file, but sometimes it points to something I don't have a

limit to flood
...like to concentrate the problems
related to that. In contrast, problems of this kind find little attention,
such as my posted question about handling by wine of OLE inserted graphics.
This is not to disregard (or even less to diminish) the interest of others. It
is to keep correspondence within manegeable limits by separating
fundamentally different interests.

Live Communication Server and Asterisk
Has anyone have interfaced this successfully? I came to know from M$ that
Genesys GETS can be used to interface asterisk. I have interfaced Cisco
call manager to asterisk/ser but for my final setup I would like to have a
LCS talking to a CCM, without having the Genesys GETS is I don't have to.
Has anyone been playing around with this? If so I would really like to hear
some advise.

Type III sum of squares and appropriate contrasts
I am running a two-way anova with Type III sums of squares and would
like to be able to understand what the different SS mean when I use
different contrasts, e.g. treatment contrasts vs helmert contrasts. I
have read John Fox's "An R and S-Plus Companion to Applied Regression"
approach -p. 140- suggesting that treatment contrasts do not usually
result in meaningful results with Type

Security hole in Debian 1.1 dosemu package
In Debian 1.1, the optional DOSEMU package installs /usr/sbin/dos
setuid root. This is a serious security hole which can be exploited
to gain access to any file on the system.
