Newbie Problem: need Windows Printer Driver?
...wine on my Linux-machine. Mostly because I want to
switch finally from Windows to Linux on my computer at work. There is just
one single application I want to "take with me" and that is "GraphPad
Prism" (http://www.graphpad.com/prism/Prism.htm).
So I installed wine0.9.20 on my Mandriva2007. Then I used wine to install
Prism in its most recent version. Everythings fine, Prism starts, but I
cant open any old file or even blank cheets.
A quick google-research showed me that Graphpad knows the Problem (or a
similar one (http://www.graphpad.com/faq/viewfaq.cfm?faq=815):

route_rules redirection not working
hi,
I am running shorewall 3.2.9 on Mandriva2007 with 2 ISPs. Certain
local IPs are directed to a specific ISP in route_rules, and this was
working perfectly. I had to reinstall Mandriva, and after that this
redirection is not working. My files are:

eth2 202.71.146.210 192.168.10.3

Re: chdir (/root/tmp) failed - but why is it trying?

Well - I've found out the reason. On the system in question
(Mandriva2007) TMPDIR is set to ~/tmp on login, and I was starting Samba
from the command line (rather than as a service at boot time). When I
unset TMPDIR in the startup script all is OK.
Not sure why Samba decides to chdir to TMPDIR (or rather, to the result
from tmpdir() in lib/util.c) when being queried...
