Adding Mandarin support - pointers?
I've had a request from one of my users to add Mandarin support. A few
quick googles gets me nothing, nor looking for "adding language support".
Anyone have a pointer to info on adding whatever packages/group packages I
need?
Thanks in advance.

Asterisk Queues Problem
Help!
I'm (still) having issues with Asterisk Queues.
I want to implement a queue so that callers get the 'all our staff are
busy at the moment, your call has been placed in a queue and will be
answered by the first available operator. You may press 1 at any time
to leave a voicemail' announcement, then they can press 1 and leave a
voicemail.

Public Apology to Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Singapore
I was misconstrued as having insulted Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew. My
words were twisted and misinterpreted and I feel that there is a need to
explain myself and set the record straight.
What really happened
It was sometime in Aug/Sep in the year 2009. The setting was in the

Why flash in Firefox doesn't always show Chinese words?
I run Firefox under wine with flash 10 installed.
This page: http://www.quickmandarin.com/chinesecharacter/
has a nice display of mandarin words, but very often it shows rectangles
instead of words.
How can I figure out why words aren't shown? How can I know which fonts
are used?
Virtually all other web sites with Chinese display correctly.

What's in a number? say.c internationalization!
http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0001429
We need to architect a general structure for saying numbers in voices.
Say.c is broken as it is now and it needs to be changed.
If we work quickly, this can be sorted out and fixed to 1.1, if not
before that.
There's a number of separate patches in bugs that fixes one language
per patch, but no general structure. I would be perfectly

Problem with w2k machines.
We have motion capture machines trying to pull files from a server. The
current system uses Irix running 2.x and I am trying with my Linux box
and 3.0.2a. The loading of the files is quite slow, much slower then
when loading the same scenes being shared from a Windows machine. When I
use ethereal to watch the traffic, there's a lot of 512 byte packets,
and that stuck out as odd. I turned some

scrollbar does not stop/function correctly
This is in multiple programs. I am running wine1.0-rc-1. The program notepad-plus and open perl ide have this problem. The problem is when i scroll the text field scrolls all the way to the bottom, or to the top. If I only move on the mouse pad a little bit then it work, but to have any speed I use the scroll arrow by themselves or with the function key to go down screen by screen. Also the Alt

Phrase "package writer" in R-exts
In a conversation with a programmer new to writing R packages, he mentioned that he was very confused by phrase "package writer" used in the document, and said that he "[was] literally imagining some sort of function that writes something related to packages".
I can see his point: not only is it confusing, but I think it's also bad English (one wouldn't say "the

I got some info from junda-tech in mandarin about the JD09U04, which is
the technical information of a chip with that number. I have sent them
