I also did read something about the kerberos tokensize ( MaxTokenSize should be 65535 )
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\Kerberos
( mainly xp and win2003 problems )
A long shot here..but google shows me also a relation of problems between GPO and RSAT mananging user"s with the exact same error message.

Serverinfo Error
Uh.. .. poweroff. ;-)
And then cleanup the AD-DB and DNS old records.
Dns tool and Domain user andn computer mananger shows all you need.
This is because, not many records where shown in you ad-db.
Note, for the new server use a new hostname.

HPUX - Trusted mode - Successful login time
We run HP-UX 11.00 in "Trusted Mode". This creates and mananges a tcb
database for all the users on the system. I have created the attached
patch, for openssh-4.3p2, to update the date/time of a successful login.
I have tested this patch on several systems here, but I am sure there is a
cleaner way to implement the updates into openssh. In a perfect world I...

Auto-upgrade to R-2.8.0-1 in Etch
...on: 2.34-1-1~etch-cran.0
r-cran-vr New version: 7.2.44-1~etch-cran.0
r-recommended New version: 2.8.0-1~etch-cran.0
Clearly these are major replacements for the existing installations,
and I'm still too inexperienced with Debian to feel sure of what
might happen if I just tell the update-mananger[*] to go ahead!
[*] gksu /usr/bin/update-manager
Are there any known gotchas up there? And, if it should happen that
something goes wrong, can I revert to my current installation
straightforwardly?
And are there precautions I should take to (a) avoid clashes,
(b) make sure that things should be...

Advice needed about remote colaboration
I am about to start a small business together with two colleagues. We are all located in different parts of the country and is in need of good remote collaboration (we will do major software development).
We will use VPN tunnels (over internet) between our computers.
Ideally I would like to set up one PDC at one site and backup DC at the two others. All three machines could act as file servers

ID mapping help LDAP/AD
...9 Aug 17 11:56 creating_a_newfile.txt
But I'm not able to access the share. I am only able to access the share when I create a "it_unix_posixgroup" in Active Directory, then everything works fine. Am I missing something about group mapping? Also I had this working before but I mananged to get winbind to map groups from AD into winbindd_idmap.tdb and I was able to give out group perms for groups that existed in AD but not in LDAP. I've started over since and now I can't get winbindd_idmap.tdb to populate with group data from AD. I've even tried making the nsswitch....

voicemail instructions
Hi,
I've been playing with Voicemail and Voicemail2 a bit for my users, and
there are a few things I'm wondering about:
- We can specify parameters to the mailbox (s, b or u) to select which
prompts to play. However, if we specify 'b' or 'u' it plays that
(customisable) message, but it also plays the voicemail instructions. For
the dutch, it is customary that a user

[PATCH net-next v11 0/5] Enable virtio_net to act as a standby for a passthru device
...netvsc implementation.
Patch 2 refactors netvsc to use the registration/notification framework
introduced by failover module.
Patch 3 introduces a net_failover driver that provides an automated
failover mechanism to paravirtual drivers via APIs to create and destroy
a failover master netdev and mananges a primary and standby slave netdevs
that get registered via the generic failover infrastructure.
Patch 4 introduces a new feature bit VIRTIO_NET_F_STANDBY to virtio-net
that can be used by hypervisor to indicate that virtio_net interface
should act as a standby for another device with the same M...

Missing memory when using maxmem
I am trying to allow domains'' memory allocation to be altered by using
both the "memory" and "maxmem" options in my config files (i.e. set
maxmem to some large value to allow the domain to be resized up to that
amount, and memory to set the initial allocation).
However I appear to lose potentially quite a large chunk of memory as I
use a larger "maxmem"

virt-resize - guest unbootable after update-initramfs
...unqiue differences, UUID, MAC, disks, etc)
At this point the guest will boot OK, and continue to run without
issue, including any number of reboots, until the first time update-
initramfs is run. At this point the guest fails to boot.
By contrast, similar guests that have disks that have not been mananged
by `virt-resize` do not experience this issue. I have performed a wide
array of swap tests between source volumes, snapshots, volumes created
by a `dd` copy and `virt-resize` each connected to different hosts,
including the original base host and those derived from it. The only
common thread so f...

[PATCH net-next v11 3/5] net: Introduce net_failover driver
The net_failover driver provides an automated failover mechanism via APIs
to create and destroy a failover master netdev and mananges a primary and
standby slave netdevs that get registered via the generic failover
infrastructure.
The failover netdev acts a master device and controls 2 slave devices. The
original paravirtual interface gets registered as 'standby' slave netdev and
a passthru/vf device with the same MAC...
