Libvirt for virtual devices like virtual printers
...o KVM-only Qemu).
Currently we have our own application to manage the virtual printers.
Our plan is to migrate to libvirt, and enable our application to use the
libvirt APIs.
libvirt code currently looks to be specialized in pure OS-specific
guests (like PCs), and I hit snags where there are manadatory devices added
which a virtual printer does not need.
Are there any users who are looking into customized virtual devices? I
would like to knowledge share with them.
The intention is to provide new libvirt APIs whenever there is such a
snag and thus enable libvirt to be used for managing virt...

RequireSecuritySignature=1 and public share with guest not working
...lic share with guest not working
check the output of :
echo "\n" | testparm -vv | grep signing
and
echo "\n" | testparm -vv | grep protocol
for my the default is :
client max protocol = NT1
but i dont use signing.
but i "think" you need to set the client signing = manadatory and client max protocol = SMB2
( from man smb.conf )
but if anyone know this better on the list, please correct me.
Im not sure in this one, never used it..

Hi,
I have set up my samba servers as PDC. I want to create a manadatory
profile for all the users. I tried renaming the ntuser.dat file to
ntuser.man file. and I have put this file in the profiles/default
directory of samba. Still, when I try to log on for any user on NT
machine, it gives me error that it couldn't obtain the profile from the
server and hence will b...

...s(or wants to use the printing
through samba) he NEEDS administrator permissions on local machine. (i.e.
I have to add DOMAIN/users to the administrative group on the local NT
machine). Does any one know how can I do it without giving these
permissions ?
Also, if I configure these printers in the manadatory
profile(ntuser.man) then, and then give the DOMAIN users administrative
rights then this works fine. But if they are not in the administrator
group then these network printers are not configured by default.
thanks,
regards
AMit
