texi2dvi runs but produces no output
I am working on a Windows XP machine with R 2.10.1 and a recent installation of MiKTeX 2.8. I use LyX (www.lyx.org) to write documents and have it set up to run Sweave, Stangle, and make the PDF through R using a batch script and a MakeSweave.R file. This system worked just fine until I ran some MiKTeX updates yesterday. This is a bit embarrassing as I helped produce a "How-to" guide to getting this working that is posted at the LyX Wiki (http://wiki.lyx.org/LyX/LyxWithRThroughSweave). The *makesweave* Package for Using Make with Sweave Efficiently
Hi R Community, I've just completed the initial version of (Linux-based) R package, called *makesweave*, for using Make to build Sweave documents efficiently. Feedback very welcome. regards -- Charlotte Maia http:...

running Sweave from Windows XP Explorer
I'd like to create a suitable batch file or shortcut so that I can run Sweave on a .Rnw or .Rtex file simply by clicking on the file from Windows Explorer in Windows XP (as I do with latex, bibtex etc). This looks tantalisingly possible using R CMD BATCH or Rterm possibly in combination with a .bat file. Has anyone succeeded is setting it up and would give me a pointer? Thanks Gordon
