Installation was OK and all works well, but this warning is bad :-/ tried 15 min to find the failure (there is no failure) ... $ perl Makefile.PL XAPIAN_CONFIG=/root/build/xapian-core/bin/xapian-config PREFIX=/root/build/Search-Xapian Checking if your kit is complete... Is possible use BIND9 as DNS Back End on a new Samba DC?

I've installed Bind9 from package manager where Bind9 version is 9.9.4. YUM command to

hivex: revert much of " Build and test Perl bindings out-of-tree." (887466794a40f57b84ce32524e1a650d6674c7e6)?
While trying to build the official Debian packages for libguestfs 1.22, I noticed that instead of working around ExtUtils::MakeMaker's limitations, I had made quite a mess of building the Perl bindings. I have tried from different sides to fix things, but could not get it quite right: - EU::MM expects Makefile.PL to be in the same directory as the generated Makefile (We work around that

problem with a repo
Hello, I've got rpmforge and epel on centos 5.3. I'm trying to do an install of perl-Image-Info for spamassassin image scanning. The package was picked up in rpmforge since first, but it is failing to install because a dependency is missing. I added perl-Image-Info to rpmforge's excludepkgs line and tried to install the package again this time thinking it would pull from epel. This

[PATCH] perl: Switch to using Module::Build.
Switch from 'ExtUtils::MakeMaker' to 'Module::Build'. There's not really a huge difference here. The interfacing gymnastics that we have to do to make Makefile.am and Module::Build talk to each other is probably a little bit simpler. I compared the output of 'make install' before and after, and there's not much difference. 'perllocal.pod' is not

perl updates always break perl programs, how to fix?
I realize this is my fault because once upon a time I installed a package using CPAN and probably other admins on the system have as well but now whenever I update perl I have to jump through hoops to get perl applications to work again (usually updating Scalar::Util and another package with CPAN). I would love to figure out how to fix this so it's not such a headache to keep up to date with
