A package for visualizing R syntax
Dear all, I have written a small set of functions for drawing graphical representations of R objects and evaluations of R expressions. It is mainly intended for pedagogical purposes. Here are some samples: http://panini.u-paris10.fr/~sloiseau/sampleGraphics.pdf The idea is to use some graphical conventions in order to make clear the abstract syntax and to explain function, extraction,

upgrade problems...
Hi all, I have done a major upgrade, first I have bought a Digium TDM400P (TDM02B) 2-Port FXO to replace x100p cards, than moved from an old version Asterisk to a new centos 4 box, compiled asterisk from Asterisk CVS-HEAD built on 2005-06-11. Seems that my iaxy is now "incompatible" with the TDM400P. When I receive a call from the TDM02B, the caller can't hear my voice (I am using

Speed problems after an upgrade to 3.0.10
Hello, Since an upgrade of Samba to 3.0.10 two weeks ago, i've got some speed transfer problems. I have a Debian server with Samba 3.0.10 and a client with Win XP SP2 (both are plugged on a 100Mbps switch). When I transfer file from the server to the client transfer rate seems to be okay but sometimes et falls down (which causes freezes when i'm reading music or watching movies) but the

enhanced MDS
Hi again Sorry, in looking again at sammon and isoMDS I see that they seem to do exactly what I want, except that they are non-metric, which means, as I understand it, that they relate the rank orders of the variables rather than the actual distances. Could I use these non-metric MDS packages even if my distances are metric? Thanks Karen -- Karen Kotschy Centre for Water in the Environment

Wengo config and G729(a)
Hi list! Again Wengo has made changes to their servers that require modifications to * configs. Is there anyone that has the 'new' wengo working with asterisk that could post their configs? Also they switched codecs, now G720a is required to connect. I can only find an (open) G729 codec, is this the same as G729a? Thanks!

PCA and automatic determination of the number of components
Hi all, I have relatively small dataset on which I would like to perform a PCA. I am interested about a package that would also combine a method for determining the number of components (I know there are plenty of approaches to this problem). Any suggestions about a package/function? thanks, Nick -- View this message in context:

concordance correlation coefficient using R
Hi. I have data which i would want to assess the degree of agreement between two assays, e.g., to evaluate reproducibility or for inter-rater reliability. I have used the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. It looks good ranginging between 0.90 to 0.998. Though this looks good. I am told the Concordance correlation coefficient will give a better picture of how reproducible the assay
