smbmount from fstab
I've seen several references to running smbmount from /etc/fstab, but I've
never seen an example. Does anyone have an example fstab entry that does this?
Thanks

Routes dependent on subdomain
Hi,
I''m having little problem getting my idea to work, would be very
thankful if you could help me.
I have one Ruby on Rails application sitting on server, and multiple
subdomains, pointing to the same server/app. For example:
mainserver.com
user1.mainserver.com
user2.mainserver.com
I want to have exactly the same app and exactly the same routes on
all, except that I want to map root of mainserver.com to different
controller than other. For example:
mainserver.com => MainController
user1.mainserver.com => UserController

PROBLEM WITH PRINTERS.
...have a print server using Debian, LPRNG and SAMBA working
without any problems. Now I 'm trying to set up a new server with
CentOS 6, CUPS and SAMBA.
It 's a very simple setup: a few local users and a few printers,
nothing special. The clients also map the printer using 'net use lpt1
\\mainserver\printerX' because they need to print over an old DOS
application.
However, I 'm getting this kind of error in SAMBA logs:

Can't get logon script option working with PDC
Environment: Samba 3.0.6 on FC2 as PDC (replacing an NT 4.0 PDC)
Windows 98/ME/2K/XP desktops on the domain
I can't seem to get "logon script" to function. My [netlogon] share
exists, the batch file is there, and if I manually run
\\MAINSERVER\netlogon\logon.bat, it runs just fine. However, it doesn't
run on login.
I set "log level" to 3 and poked through the results. I can see where
clients are accessing [netlogon], but I see no evidence that they're
even requesting logon.bat.
Here's the relevant snippets out of...

samba not logging windows user names
Hi,
Is it possible that samba logs the windows username of the person that
is connecting to a share. On many shares I use 'force user = testuser'.
In the log I only see the messages "connect to service test as user
testuser". This gives me only the username smbd should become.
I also tried logging to a file which contains '%U' but this give me very

Can I use direct attached storage as a shared filesystem in Xen
I have a quad core server in which I want to run 4 virtual servers. On this
server I have a 1/2 terabyte raid 1 I have split between the 4 members that
have the OS on it. I have raid 5 10 terabyte internal storage running on a
3ware 9690a card. I want to share this storage between the servers without
partitioning it. Is this possible?

I've got Samba 2.0.3 running on my Linux box.
Marvin is the samba server. Bugs is the NT box.
Attached is the relevant part of my smb.conf file. I removed several parts
from what's attached to save bandwidth. What you see is simply the part
that pertains to my printer.
I can't print to the DeskJet printer. The printer appears in my network
neighborhood, but I just can't get
