dovecot 2 in ubuntu 12.04 or Debian Squeeze
Dear sir,
I have to set up a mail gateway which will be explored to Internet and a
secure mail server in the Intranet.
I need a smart imap proxy in the mail gateway which will fetch the mail from
server and present to user through either a stand alone mail client or a web
mail client.
All authentication is through ldap server.
I have installed Dovecot 2.2 Unstable in my Ubuntu 12.04 with ssl

Director DNS
Hello,
I am currently running 2.2.31. I have a cluster of dovecot instances
running in AWS.
- Two instances running Director/Proxy
- Two instances running Dovecot.
-- Storage for the Dovecot instances is EFS.
My setup works, requests for 143 hit my Director cluster and are proxied to
an appropriate dovecot backend.
My question is how often if at all the Director service looks up the
addresses

Problems with IMAP/POP and dovecot director on backend (director_proxy_maybe)
Hello dovecot community,
first of all: dovecot ist great! ;) ...nevertheless I?ve got some
problems to get my director scenario running as needed/expected :(
My scenario:
I?d like to configure two dovecot backends, without the need for
multiple dovecot instances. Both backend servers are active/active and
act on top of a glusterfs storage, which implies the need for dovecot
director. As

Dsync via dovecot proxy
Hi All,
I need to import mailboxes into my Director NFS setup via
one of my director proxy's as doing a direct dsync to the backend
mailstores appears to giving me NFS locking issues. It looks like it may
be possible to do this using doveadm listeners. I have setup doveadm
listeners on a test proxy and backend mailstore. I am not sure how to
make the dsync proxy through to the backend

P3Scan support
Hello,
I want to ask if CentOS will support P3Scan (http://p3scan.sourceforge.net/)
as RPM delivered with the distribution?
For explanation:
P3Scan is an transparent mailproxy. It uses ClamAV and SpamAssassin to
distinguish between Spam- Virus- and normal Mail. Its more usefull to get an
update via the repos instead of compiling it by myself.
I hope you understand my englisch. ;)

dovecot 2.0.13 using LDAP and proxying IMAP4 and POP3 to gmail
Fellow dovecot users/contributors,
I am building a POP3/IMAP4 proxy solution for an enterprise, where users can login with their common username and then they get single sign-on to all kinds of different applications in the backend. Some of these applications are SaaS apps like gmail. For gmail in particular, I want dovecot to solve the following issues for me:
1. be an IMAP4/POP3 proxy in
