mails delivered to the wrong user when using lmtp_proxy and reject_unverified_recipient
...mail to the wrong "user1" instead of "user2". Looks like dovecot re-uses the (still opened?) lmtp-proxy-connection from "user1" to deliver an e-mail to "user2". Have a log at the protocol: 1) There's a verify call to user1 from Postfix: Jul 19 13:49:49 mailms postfix/lmtp[9842]: DE653280C51: to=<user1 at example.com>, relay=localhost[127.0.0.1]:24, conn_use=2, delay=120, delays=117/0.45/0/2.5, dsn=2.1.5, status=deliverable (250 2.1.5 OK) 2) Just five seconds later the e-mail to user2 (see Postfix' point of view in the last line) is delivered...

upgrading samba
Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my Samba from 3.0.4 to 3.0.7. Samba is my PDC currently. Are there any issues that I need to be aware of before I upgrade? Will I need to re-join the domain after the upgrade? Slow Printing from XP clients with SP2?
Hello, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. >From an XP machine printing to a SAMBA printer, printing is painfully slow. Selecting the printer, and even sending the job through windows makes the app appear non-responsive. The print job is completed fine, but just takes a long time to print. XP boxes with SP1 print like a dream. I've managed to replicate this on 4 boxes

Junk e-mail .... help needed!!!
Hi!! Of late, I'm getting a lot of un-solicited mails from this list, and inspite of un-subscribing mails, messages, threats , nothing really seems to work... My question: 1. Is there any way I can 'avoid' or 'bounce' incoming messages at the mail-server level?? 2. I cannot change my address (alias) as such... since this involves sending reminders to God knows how many

Hello, I have two hard drives on one PC. One is a Windows XP drive and the other is a Linux (redhat 9.0) drive. I want Linux to recognize and share files on the XP drive. Where is there documentation addressing this situation? Because now I work mostly with my Linux environment, I wanted to access the XP drive from Linux. Bryan Peifer brpeifer@earthlink.net

The following errors appear in the SAMBA log for the windows host I'm printing from: lp: unable to print file: client-error-not-found lpstat: Unknown destination "level3-bw"! The

[LLVMdev] LNT install
Hi David, That's weird, I have setup LNT in multiple different distros and have never seen this. Looks like no one ever tested on the system you're running. Can you share a bit more of your environment? Also, you can check the setup.py to see if it does any stripping of package names, which could go wrong in the wrong environment. cheers, --renato On 29 January 2015 at 20:13, David

Hi Kashif, Thank you for your feedback! Do you have some data on the nature of performance improvement observed with 3.11 in the new setup? Adding Raghavendra and Poornima for validation of configuration and help with identifying why certain files disappeared from the mount point after enabling readdir-optimize. Failure while upgrading gluster to 3.10.1
Hello Atin, I've gotten around to this and was able to get upgrade done using 3.7.0 before moving to 3.11. For some reason 3.7.9 wasn't working well. On 3.11 though I notice that gluster/nfs is really made optional and nfs-ganesha is being recommended. We have plans to switch to nfs-ganesha on new clusters but would like to have glusterfs-gnfs on existing clusters so a seamless upgrade

Performance and scalability
Hi, My question is. What are your performance experiences compared to languages such as PHP, PERL and ASP? Could you build a site as big as Ebay on rails and have it perform fast enough? I''m afraid that the generalisation in components I see so much users asking for will make the framework too heavy compared to a clean programmed for perfomance PHP application. Probably even
