Hi, Sorry if subj. is far from anything possible, but I try solving this problem: On Saturday 12 December 2009 16:57:40 /dev/rob0 wrote: > On Sat, Dec 12, 2009 at 03:37:17PM +0000, K?rlis Repsons wrote: > > Could anyone help me sorting this out: its very convenient to store > > mails on mailserver and relay sent mail through it, so it gets sent > > immediately, but there is

deliver exit codes?
Before switching to dovecot deliver for all local deliveries, I'm calling deliver from maildrop (yes, don't laugh). Snippet from my global /etc/maildroprc: # Store maillist & junk messages directly /^Precedence: ?list/ if ( $MATCH ) { exception { log "Bulk message: $MATCH" #to "$DEFAULT" to "|$DELIVER" } } I replaced to "$DEFAULT" (meaning: delivery to $HOME/Maildir) with to &q...

Questions about deliver log files
Hi, I upgraded from Courier to dovecot, and now I try to rebuild some of the features I used to have. One was a monthly per user log of maildrop's work. I used this code in maildroprc: DATE=`date +%m` logfile "$MAILDIR/maildrop-$DATE.log" This created a monthly log in the each user's Maildir. I find it easier to have a log per user than having to filter the log entries from a large log file for all users. I tried to recreate it with deliver by using the vari...

If coming from maildrop as the LDA, you can put the following in your maildroprc to allow a gentler transition (or to keep maildrop's ability to call external applications) `test -r /usr/libexec/dovecot/deliver` if ( $RETURNCODE == 0) { `test -r $HOME/$EXT/.sieve` if ( $RETURNCODE == 0) { to "| /usr/libex...

What about saving your INBOX at ~/mbox ?
Hi, folks. I'm testing out RedHat's "Fedora Core 2" release, which has switched from the old WashU imapd to dovecot-0.99.10. Overall, this looks like a really, really good move on their part: it looks like a very sweet little tool without some of the ingrained idiocy of Mark Crispin insisting that every home directory consist of nothing but mbox files and allowing you to use a

Namespace with a single mailbox (for spam)
Hi there. Perhaps this is answered somewhere, but a short search through the mailing list and Wiki yielded nothing. We have spam filtering set up for all users, with all messages over some spam threshold going to a separate mbox. There is one directory containing the spam mboxes of all users (call it "/var/spool/spam", right now), with the spam box of a user residing in
