trouble with setting individual quota values for multiple namespaces
Hello all
please apologize that I repost this problem again. I tried to get some
help several times on the list but did not find/get a solution.
I am still struggling to setup different quotas for namespaces.
In addition to the default "INBOX" namespace I have created a namespace
called "MailArchive" which should have its own quota value of 5G per user.
At first I

errors on rebuild
Hello,
I am trying to rebuild an index of 2+ million documents and have not been successful. I am running
Python 2.7
Django 1.7
Haystack 2.1.1
Xapian 1.2.21
The index rebuild command I’m using is: django-admin.py rebuild_index --noinput --batch-size=100000
The rebuild completes but an immediate xapian-check returns this error:
xapian-check ./archive_index
record:

doveadm index: can't index a different namespace?
one other thing, fts_autoindex does NOT appear to be working on the
#ARCHIVE/ NAMESPACE.
I wonder if these are all interrelated?

It's not about adding an index there, but about trying to open "MAILARCHIVE" itself as a folder. fts-lucene attempts to use an existing folder's indexes for

It looks like fts-lucene wants to write some information into INBOX's index files. But your archive namespace doesn't have a working INBOX. Maybe it would work if you create "#ARCHIVE/inbox"?

Hi Olly,
Thanks for the detailed response. I hadn’t realized there was a new xapian haystack backend. I’m going to try that but I have some upgrades to do first. Django 1.8, etc.
Thanks,
Ryan

Using dovecot to serve an email archive
I have a collection of old email messages,
archived as follows:
1) One file per message.

Here
<seconds> is the date of the message,

Hi Olly,
After upgrades my stack is now:
Python 2.7
Django 1.8
Haystack 2.6.0
Xapian 1.4.3. (latest xapian haystack backend with some modifications)
Using the same rebuild command as below but with —batch-size=50000
The issue has now become one of performance. I am indexing 2.2 million documents. Using delve I can see that performance starts off at about 100,000 records an hour. This is

Can you access these mboxes at all with Dovecot? e.g.
doveadm mailbox status -u user at domain clamav-rules
