Login failure with SElinux enforcing + Sqlite user DB
I am having a very strange issue with Dovecot + Sqlite + SELinux in enforcing. I am able to log in via IMAPS if SELinux is in permissive, but not able to do so when in enforcing. I do not see any SELinux denials even with dontaudit's enabled. I am running Centos 5 on x86_64 with a customized kernel build and SElinux Strict policy. The log dumps below are in the following order:? 1. My syslog

regarding dovecot.index.cache
Hi, This is regarding updating dovecot.index.cache. I have few backup ids configured. these are used only when old mail needs to be retrieved. usually these mailboxes contains more then 9,000 mails. while login to webmail, imap consumption is high, which creates performance related issues for regular mailboxes. to resolve this i have to move heavy mailbox to dedicated server. before doing

For example: E-Mail-Address: foo at example.com Username: foo-example.com I configured postfix so that it passes mails to dovecot using the following command (master.cf): dovecot unix - n

ADS membership with Samba 3.0.4
Hi, We are in the process of evaluating the possibility of porting Samba 3.0.4 to VxWorks. Features wise we don't see any problems. But our main concern is on the security. Since we do not have the concept of Users and Groups on VxWorks, we cannot have any authentications as such. So, the other possibility is to pass on the authentication to another Server on the network, typically a AD

The deciding factor now would be on how easy or tough it would be to get these libraries running on some thing like VxWorks. As far as I remember, in the 2.2.x series, if Samba was configured with security = DOMAIN, then smbd would connect to the
