AGEod American Civil War vs. Wine 1.1.18
Hi, I'm trying to run AACW (and WIA) under Ubuntu 8.10 x84. I installed Wine 1.1.18, Winetricks and installed AACW and patched the game up to 1.13b. Unfortenately, the game won't start because of an error ("Exception EAccessViolation dans le module AACW.exe dans 00004054. Violation d'access a l'adresse 00404054 dans le module 'AACW.exe'. XEN - Routed and Bridget Mode together (mixed)
Hi, is there any possibility to get a XEN DomO and DomU running with bridget and routed mode together. The reason behind this is, to get the requests via the official IPs to the DomU''s (routed-mode) and the interworking between the DomU''s with connected with help of the (bridged-mode). I got it work, with setting everything up manually. But as I understood the

vif-route script not getting domU-IP (vif-IP)
Hi, I''m using the XEN 3.4.1-pre4 Hypervisor in Routet Mode and I''m facing some problems when I start the DomU. In detail, it means that the DomU IP-Adress will not be implemented in the Kernel routing table after starting the domU via "xm create /<path +configfle>" After making a "netstat -nr" it will not show the IPadress bound to the

No mapping on second fileserver
Hi, We recently switched our NT4 Domain to AD. We have 2 AD serves using sernet packages on debian buster with bind9 dns backend, isc-dhcpd updated by the dyndns script. Files are served by a AD member server (AKA fileserver) on debian buster, too. It's using the original debian samba packages. However, I am still far away from calling myself familiar with samba 4 AD :(. Nevertheless, I

Robust ANOVA with variance heterogeneity
Dear list members, I am looking for an alternative function for a two-way ANOVA in the case of variance heterogeneity. For one-way ANOVA, I found oneway.test(), but I didn't find anything alike for two-way ANOVA. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you! Maike Luhmann Freie Universit?t Berlin

Hello, I took the liberty of quickly slamming together http://www.theora.org/benefits/ . This is supposed to answer the "why should you use Theora" question in some detail. This section is not yet included in the navigation bar and I'd like to get confirmation that this information can be considered "canon" before making it "visible" (oh, and of course someone

Hi, On http://www.gluster.org/community/documentation/index.php/Translators/performance/io-cache I found the following: > volume io-cache > type performance/io-cache > option cache-size 64MB # default is 32MB > option priority *.h:3,*.html:2,*:1 # default is '*:0' > option cache-timeout 2 # default is 1 second > subvolumes <x>

--move instaed of --delete
Hi, I have set up daily backup using rsync to collect the data and afterwards I use afio to write the data to tape. I do: $RSYNC -avbu --backup-dir=$PART/$HOST/old -e ssh --exclude-from $EXCLUDE root@$HOST:/ $PART/$HOST > $LOG/$HOST-$DATE.log to sync files. Since the tape capacity is limited I exclued the /$PART/$HOST/old dirs, form the afio call. These are backuped separately on weekly

Choosing the right domain
Hi, I am about to spend one week of my holidays with transfering our (about 20 clients) NT4 domain to a AD DC one. We are running a samba NT4 PDC on debian buster which is offering dns (bind9) and dhcp (isc-dhcpd), too. I have an older server where I can play with an AD DC setup. If I see I won't make it in a week, I would like to be able to return as smooth as possible to the present

Vorbis for PlayStation
you can write your own software mixer that can decode MP3 on the PS2 so I can't see why you can't do that with ogg, however, even mp3 is processor intensive and programers are not going to give up that much processor power which will decrease or detract from the rest of the game. However, I'm sure there are some people out there that have been able to work around this. Regardless, ps1

multi-scale singular spectrum analysis (SSA)
Hi everybody! I am searching for an R implementation of multi-scale singular spectrum analysis (SSA), which was introduced by Yiou etal (2000) (Data-adaptive wavelets and multi-scale singular-spectrum analysis) and further described in Ghil etal (2002). For SSA alone I found an package recently published on r-forge: http://r-forge.r-project.org/projects/simsalabim/ I am happy about any

German translation of OggEnc
Hello, I translated OggEnc (RC3) into German language. Nothing fancy. Neither Goethe nor Schiller. Could anyone please make a Win32 build? I don´t have a Win32 compiler. Sourcecode of modified files is available at http://www.metalunleashed.de/oggenc_ger.zip Just replace RC3 files with the modified versions. I hope this is useful for anyone. bye, Maik Merten -- MetalUnleashed:
