USB question
The BIOS on my laptop does not support booting from USB. I would like to be able to have my Windows XP on a partition on a USB disk drive and be able to run from the USB disk using perhaps a CD or floppy to bootstrap the system. My questions: 1). Is there a way to use syslinux and friends to do this? 2). If not, is there some other boot loader that may work? 3). Is there any hope at all?

SYSLINUX 4.04 problems
Syslinux 4.04 pre-13 and Syslinux 4.04 pre-14 are giving me these errors: SYSLINUX 4.04_pre13 CHS Copyright (c) 1994-2011 H. Peter Avin et al and SYSLINUX 4.04_pre14 CHS Copyright (c) 1994-2011 H. Peter Avin et al respectively. Syslinux 4.04 pre-12 works fine, as does 4.04 pre-11, 4.04 pre10, 4.03, and earlier. The machines I have tried this on are one with an AMI BIOS, and another one with an

Hello everybody, i tried to debug imap sessions with the rawlog feature and rawlog creates files but when i try to dump them doveadm tells me [...] Error: zlib.read((file)): unexpected EOF at [...]. syslinux configuration file -- CONFIG directive with parameter
Hi, I'm having troubles trying to use the CONFIG directive in my syslinux config files. Specifically: CONFIG ../syslinux.cfg APPEND .. The specified config file is used, but the directory isn't changed. However, I have no problems with: CONFIG dir1/syslinux.cfg APPEND dir1 or CONFIG /syslinux.config APPEND / These use the specified config file as well as the new directory.
