Oddly, it now seems to work once I made this change -
root at ns:/usr/local/etc/dovecot # dovecot -a | grep -A5 "protocol lmtp"
protocol lmtp {
# Added explicit hostname
hostname = ns.mahan.org
mail_fsync = optimized
mail_plugins = " sieve"
}
I now see -
root at ns:/usr/local/etc/dovecot # tail -f /var/log/maillog | grep "

Re needing to say ssl = yes, I thought that was implied for imaps?
I can go back to stunnel, just thought it was an unnecessary layer.
Thanks,
Patrick

libao AU driver
...mpile, and install
* Test: e.g. ogg123 -d au -o file:- | play -t au -
This is my first patch to libao, so any comments or suggestions
would be appreciated. Thanks to Stan Seibert for the raw
output driver, which I used as an example. I hope someone
finds this driver useful.
Regards,
Wil Mahan

Changing the imaps port #
Dovecot 2.3.4, FreeBSD 11.2
Due to comcast buisness ISP intercepting imaps I need to have my clients
connect to non-standard port (9999). Previously I had been using stunnel
to receive the imaps connection and forward it to the imap port over
127.0.0.1. But I would like to retire stunnel and have my imap clients
connect remotely.
I have configured the imap-login service -

Look at the domain name used in your e-mail client and make sure it
actually resolves. If it does not, check to see if DNSSEC validation is
the issue.

Replace Cisco IOS/CBOS with freebsd - possible?
Greetings,
I'm RP for a fairly large chunk of IP real estate. I carved out
a /27 segment for my home network. Which is currently running over
a cisco 837 GW (adsl/router). I'm not really keen on it (the router/modem).
So I thought to myself that it couldn't be /that/ hard to build a
box with FBSD that could replace it - am I crazy? Wouldn't it
be possible to upload a minimal build

At you sure about that? I've been using comcast business for 7 years and the do not block 143, 993 587 or 25. they do block 110, but that's fine, I stopped supporting POP around 2001.

Possible fix for bug #14 (ogg123 -b memory leak)
Hi all,
Browsing through the bug database, I was able to reproduce #14. Briefly,
when I run, for example:
ogg123 -b 8000 test1.ogg test2.ogg test1.ogg [...]
where test1.ogg and test2.ogg have different bitrates or numbers of
channels (that is important), ogg123's memory usage continuously
increases as each new song is played.
I think I've tracked down the bug to the use of
