Bug#489172: logcheck: please add Auto-Submitted header field to mailouts
Package: logcheck Version: 1.2.54 Severity: wishlist Please add the header "Auto-Submitted: auto-generated" to mails generated by logcheck. This header should be supported by many email autoresponders and should prevent the need to set up logcheck specific rules for "vacation"-type autoresponders. Headers can be added in mail using the -a switch, e.g. mail -a

Request: Pigeonhole - strip CWFS from message-id logs
Normally for a log line containing the contents of a Message-Id, it is logged like the following Nov 29 11:41:27 xxx dovecot[211]: lmtp(lee)<30167><XXXXX>: sieve: msgid=<xxxx at example.net>: stored mail into mailbox 'Notifications' However, if there is CFWS other than a space, it changes the format of the log line (potentially making the logs harder to process - eg

ProxyCommand that creates identity file
Hi there, I'm working on a project to write a ProxyCommand that reaches out to an SSH CA to receive an SSH certificate prior to the connection. The ProxyCommand also creates a tunnel to the upstream SSH server. When using ProxyCommand alone, the issue is that the identity files are loaded as soon as SSH has fork/exec'd the process. It does not wait for a valid server negotiation. I

Request: option to hide user IP/HELO content from mail sent via submissiond
For reasons of user privacy and security I usually configure submission servers to not include accurate IP address and HELO information of authenticated users. (Usually replacing it with a private-use domain / IPv6 address.) Dovecot submission (2.3.2) will produce a header something like this (where ?10.22.36.10" is a public IP address) Received: from [192.168.1.184] ([10.22.36.10]) by

Debian packages for R-1.3.0
...bution currently provides only a snapshot of gcc-3.0, not the latest released version, so this may cause problems with installation under the testing distribution. I can recompile the packages if this becomes too awkward. Let me know if you need this. These packages have been linked against Camm Maguire's latest atlas2-base package for Atlas. I would recommend getting that - it is a much more recent version of Atlas. I need a volunteer to compile the packages on a Debian 2.2 (potato) system. Thomas Lumley has done that but I know he is very busy now and I don't want to impose on him. I...

"LAPACK routine DGESDD gave error code -12" with Debian (PR#2822)
Dear All, Under Debian GNU/Linux La.svd (with method = "dgesdd") sometimes gives the error "Error in La.svd(data, nu = 0, nv = min(nrow, ncol), method = "dgesdd") : LAPACK routine DGESDD gave error code -12" It seems not to depend on the data per se, but on the relationship between numbers of rows and columns. For example, if the number of columns is 100,

Sieve editheader should support adding Received and Auto-Submitted headers
In order to simplify auto-response suppression and other filtering, I want to synthesise an Auto-Submitted header on notification mails that should have them but do not. In a sieve file I add the following: if anyof ( header :contains ["From","Sender"] ?info at example.com" ) { if header :contains "Subject" [" just joined "," just left

Bug#286532: dnsmasq: misses message for DHCPINFORM due to 283331 fix
Package: logcheck-database Version: 1.2.32 Severity: normal Tags: patch The fix for 283331 exposed a bug in the dnsmasq rules. The rule was looking for DHCPINFO, but the actual message is DHCPINFORM. Prior to the 283331 fix, the old rule worked, because the "[()[:alnum:]]+" part of the rule matched the "RM" at the end of DHCPINFORM. -- System Information: Debian Release:

Package: logcheck Version: 1.2.32 Severity: important In postinst logcheck "fixes" permissions of /etc/logcheck/* to 750. In my (and others on #d-d) opinion ownership and permissions should be preserved upon package upgrades. Announcement: Automatic ATLAS support under Debian GNU/Linux
...it for a *very* long time dpkg -i ../atlas2-base*.deb IV. See also The Atlas packages have a very detailed README.Debian file which should be consulted; it also details local recompilation. Sources and documentation for Atlas are at http://www.netlib.org/atlas. V. Acknowledgements Camm Maguire developed the scheme of overloading Atlas over the default blas libraries and deserves all the credit. Many thanks to John Eaton for helping debug some errors in the initial setup, and to Doug Bates for work on the R package. Special thanks to Ben Collins for providing a patched ldconfig as part of...

Softoken II under wine
Hi, I'm trying to run Softoken II in wine but having very little success. When installing using the softoken msi file it doesn't seem to get as far as it does on a windows machine. But there still seems to be some part of the install completed as I can run Softoken exe afterwards, although it gives me problems. I run the msi using: wine start softoken/setup.msi And I get the following
