Hey All, I'll be configuring an asterisk box to be the voicemail server to an old Merlin system which had an octel 100 voicemail server that is now dying. My question is simple: do I need to stick an FXO card in the asterisk box? My logic is that if the Merlin Magix system is actually generating electrical current, then I would need to have an fxo card. ...IOS (A13) for the Dell Latitude E6520 has problems - gpxelinux (4.05) cannot load larger initrd (or memdisk images) with this BIOS and fails with "Not enough memory to load specified image". This results in a few of our boot images (most importantly the Backup Rescue image (and parted magix pxe version)) failing. A12 BIOS works okay. So at the moment we stay at A12. 1) Can this problem be worked around somehow? We have had quite a bit of success with our T100P and TE410P cards interfacing to Nortel Meridian PBXes and also to a Livingston Portmaster 3 using ESF/B8ZS and various combinations of E&M wink and ISDN PRI (usually in 5ESS mode). How often do you guys see Event 6 and 8 on your PRI? (aka "HDLC Abort" and "HDLC Bad FCS") Is this normal? I would think not. bkw
