corr.test -- use a different null hypothesis
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 First of all, I'm a physicist and therefore I'm not much used to use statistics. So, please forgive me if this is a FAQ or stupid, but I failed to find the answer by myself. I want to use corr.test to test for the correlation of two data sets (actually I have a lot of data set and perform pairwise testing). But I wanted to find sets where the

readCitationFile encoding
Hi, does anybody know, how to enforce a certain encoding for readCitationFile()? Haven't found any usable documentation for this :( E.g.: basecit <- system.file("CITATION", package="base") source(basecit, echo=TRUE, encoding="8859-1") readCitationFile(basecit) BTW: 'make check' is a relativ long running task and if one changes a source file, all

[LLVMdev] About debug in LLVM!!!
Hi all LLVMdev! Here is a question: I try to understand how I can realize a debugging in LLVM!? I have written a back end for my target and now I need a debug. I asked developers Chris Lattner and Robert L. Bocchino. They recommend me ask the LLVMdev. Is there a tool like "llvm-db" about Robert said? Here a mail from Robert: On Jun 29, 2009, at 17:14 PM, Robert L. Bocchino

bad seagate drive?
Hi list, I''ve got a system with 3 WD and 3 seagate drives. Today I got an email that zpool status indicated one of the seagate drives as REMOVED. I''ve tried clearing the error but the pool becomes faulted again. Taken out the offending drive and plugged into a windows box with seatools install. Unfortunately seatools finds nothing wrong with the drive. Windows seems to see

slanted ends of horizontal lines for certain line widths
Hello, if I plot a horizontal line, e.g., plot(c(1,2),c(1,1),xlim=c(0,3),lwd=2,type="l") or plot(c(1,2),c(1,1),xlim=c(0,3),lwd=4,type="l") then the left end (1st example) or both ends (2nd example) of the lines are not rectangular but slanted on the graphical display (screen). [LLVMdev] About debug in LLVM!!!
Do you want to debug the native executables generated by your back-end? What debug info format your native executables support? In general, this is how it works for that case. 1. clang-cc -g generates required debug info in the .bc file. 2. The backend (llc) converts that to Dwarf (or something else as desired by that back-end). 3. Native debuggers like (gdb) understands Dwarf and provide source

[LLVMdev] llc - generation of native machine code

data mining: finding association rules
Dear R-users! I would like to search for "association rules" (and compute support and confidence, for example) in a data set, and wonder if this can be done with R (version 1.5.0 for Windows)? Particulary, I wonder if a) anyone has done something like that with R or b)maybe someone has written an R-interface to some existing algorithm/software (e.g. to something like the

How to Adaptively Set Up the Coordinate Range of Multiple Graphs in One Figure
Hi, R-Helpers, I would like to ask about multiple graphs in one figure. I tried to execute the following codes. xlim <- c(1,100) ylim <- c(1,4) plot(NA, xlim=xlim, ylim=ylim) > x <- c(1:100) for(j in seq(1,10,by=1)) { y <- j*x^2+log(j) lines(x, y) } In the above codes, I had to arbitrarily set up the coordinate range of the figure in advance before

[LLVMdev] LLVM Compiler Infrastructure and GDB debugger
Hi Artem, GDB only works with native applications. If you compile your code to a native executable with -g, then debug info should work for you. However, if you've built your own backend, then you may need to add the debug info hooks etc. If you have further questions, please email the llvmdev mailing list instead of me directly, thanks! -Chris On Jun 26, 2009, at 11:11 AM,
