R on maemo
Has anyone tried to compile R on the Nokia maemo platform? I've been thinking about buying the n900 phone when it comes out, but I guess the main selling point would be a possibility to run R on it. I've read some rumors that it is based on debian, and that it can run X11 apps. In theory, you wouldn't even need to write any GUI. You s...

building wxruby2 from cvs (gentoo)
Hello, I am a newbie to wx and wxruby, I just built wxruby2 on my gentoo box. At first it did not work. So I post a little message,it might help others. At first a cryptic message was shown SWIG Version 1.3.21 Copyright (c) 1995-1998 University of Utah and the Regents of the University of California Copyright (c) 1998-2003 University of Chicago Compiled with i686-pc-linux-gnu-g++

[LLVMdev] Possibly using a broken version of GCC to build LLVM (file won't finish compiling).
...d CodeGenDAGPatterns.cpp is taking a really long time to compile (it's been like 20 minutes or more). I don't even get an error. All the files before it compile pretty quickly but this file in particular just won't finish. The version of gcc I have on my Nokia N800 (that I got from the Maemo SDK repository) is: gcc (GCC) 3.4.4 (release) (CodeSourcery ARM 2005q3-2) I'm kind of worried it may be a broken version as far as compiling for LLVM goes, but a lot of the docs and things on the LLVM website seem to be down this weekend. Anyways, if anyone has similar experience let me know...

odd issue with the with SIP over VPN
I've run into a odd issue where inbound calls to the SIP client work fine, but outbound from the SIP client do not. The path between the client and the server is as below. N900 SIP client <-- OpenVPN --> Asterisk The version of Asterisk in question is 1.6.0.18. Any suggestions? -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Mobile Device Options
Hello, I'm looking to use tinc. What are my options for connecting from a mobile device, e.g. iPhone/iPad or a droid? Is there any backwards compatibility with IPSec or PPTP or anything? Or would it be possible to implement a solution where a pptp vpn is bridged to the tinc vpn so clients can 'see' other clients on either network? Thanks, Adam

RDP for Centos 7
Hi, Does anyone know of a good program for doing RDP to windows servers on C-7? The "Remote desktop viewer" program that comes with C7 is not reliable for me. I frequently have multiple long running RDP sessions and the keyboard will stop responding. The only way I can find to get it started again is to restart the program and login to the servers again. In addition, I cannot find a

WiFi SIP phone w/VPN?
Hi, all. My subject line says it all: is there a WiFi SIP phone with VPN abilities? Failing that, a WiFi phone that runs Linux? I already know one phone that does meet my requirements -- the iPhone. The new software comes with a Cisco VPN client, and a SIP client can be had from third-party vendors for jailbroken phones. And, while I'm not averse to the idea, a) it ain't cheap, and b)
