[PATCH] Fix logic in mad detection
If neither --enable-mad nor --disable-mad was given, try to find mad. If it wasn't found, warn the user, but don't fail. If --enable-mad was given, fail if mad is not found. If --disable-mad was given, don't warn the user, as the user already knows that mad won't be enabled. mad is not and should not be considered a hard requirement, as it's absent in most distros due to

[LLVMdev] [NVPTX] llc -march=nvptx64 -mcpu=sm_20 generates invalid zero align for device function params
Hello, FYI, this is a bug http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=13324 When compiling the following code for sm_20, func params are by some reason given with .align 0, which is invalid. Problem does not occur if compiled for sm_10. > cat test.ll ; ModuleID = '__kernelgen_main_module' target datalayout = "e-p:64:64-i64:64:64-f64:64:64-n1:8:16:32:64" target

[PATCH 1/2] nv50/ir: Add support for MAD short+IMM notation
Add emission rules for negative and saturate flags for MAD 4-byte opcodes, and get rid of constraints. Short MAD has a very specific SDST == SSRC2 requirement, and since MAD IMM is short notation + 4-byte immediate, don't have the compiler create MAD IMM instructions yet. V2: Document MAD as supported short form Signed-off-by: Roy Spliet <rspliet at eclipso.eu> ---

[LLVMdev] [NVPTX] llc -march=nvptx64 -mcpu=sm_20 generates invalid zero align for device function params
Dear all, I'm attaching a patch that should fix the issue mentioned above. It simply makes the same check seen in the same file for global variables: emitPTXAddressSpace(PTy->getAddressSpace(), O); if (GVar->getAlignment() == 0) O << " .align " << (int) TD->getPrefTypeAlignment(ETy); else O << " .align " <<

Survey of "moving window" statistical functions - still looking f or fast mad function
Hi, Lately I run into a problem that my code R code is spending hours performing simple moving window statistical operations. As a result I did searched archives for alternative (faster) ways of performing: mean, max, median and mad operation over moving window (size 81) on a vector with about 30K points. And performed some timing for several ways that were suggested, and few ways I come up

Identifying outliers in non-normally distributed data
Hello, I've been searching for a method for identify outliers for quite some time now. The complication is that I cannot assume that my data is normally distributed nor symmetrical (i.e. some distributions might have one longer tail) so I have not been able to find any good tests. The Walsh's Test (http://www.statistics4u.info/ fundsta...liertest.html#), as I understand

Looking for help with an ast matcher
Hi Piotr, Thanks. Yeah, it seemed a little weird, but it was what got me closest. I found out that the matcher I supplied here was working for clang-query 3.8.1. I'm working on a clang-tidy module for 4.0.0 - it's not working there. Could you elaborate on the "onImplicitObjectArgument"? There is no document on it on the clang page. So I wouldn't know how it works or what it

[LLVMdev] RFC: Add ISD nodes for mad
Hi, I would like to add an ISD node for an fmad operation (named either FMAD or FMULADD). It will have the semantics of returning the same result as the separate multiply and add with the intermediate rounding step, and not a differently rounded result. The motivation is to share code with the various FMA forming DAG combines, but will be generally more useful on targets that support it

[PATCH] nv50/ir: fold MAD when one of the multiplicands is const
Fold MAD dst, src0, immed, src2 (or src0/immed swapped) when - immed = 0 -> MOV dst, src2 - immed = +/- 1 -> ADD dst, src0, src2 These types of MAD pattersn were observed in some st/nine shaders. Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- Haven't tested this enough to push yet, but thought I'd get it out there. Passes some simple test cases.

[PATCH 1/3] nv50/ir: Add support for MAD short+IMM notation
And you're allowing saturate/neg emission on the short form. Is this already in envytools? Also, what's the shortForm thing? This change is probably fine, but the changelog needs work.
