Hi all, I''d like to develop an application with an in-memory db. I''d like to use the same model of Instiki. Instiki uses Madeleine to work. I am watching at the Instiki source but ruby is still new to me...and I have find little comments on instiki sources. Can you address me to a simple example...

Object graphs
Guys, I''m designing an application currently that will ultimately be implemented in either Rails or php5 (most likely Rails). While I''ve coded many PHP (pre-5) applications in the past, OO support was so weak that my OO designs were never truly divorced from the limitations of the language, thus I never had to consider this problem. The question is: how does Rails (and how do

Pimki 1.8.200
Hi All, Just a quick note on a new release of Pimki: The Wiki-based PIM to GetThingsDone! Pimki 1.8.200 is a bug fix release: accumulated bug fixes plus an explicit dependency on Madeleine 0.7.1 (the new 0.7.2 is incompatible). Important note: this release is still based on the Pimki 1.x branch. Snapshots from previous versions of Pimki and Instiki up to 0.9.2 should work fine. Work on Pimki2 is back into full swing - watch this space! Go to http://pimki.rubyforge.org for the ful...

Google indexing wiki edit pages
Hi, I''ve been googling around trying to find out how to do something with rails, and found this page returned by google: <http://wiki.rubyonrails.___/rails/pages/Madeleine/versions/new> [You should replace the underscores in the URL with ''com'' to see what I mean -- didn''t want to exacerbate the situation should this message itself be indexed...] I''m not sure that this is a great idea. I''m also not sure who should...

RC4/1.0 and peeling
first, congrats to monty and the whole crew for getting this close to 1.0. it's a monumental achievement reflecting a huge amount of hard work -- kudos! econd, i know the bitrate peeling feature has been pushed back until after 1.0 is out. but i'm wondering -- will oggs created with a 1.0 encoder be peelable with an as-yet-unreleased utility, or do "peelable oggs" have to be

Optimizing Vorbis for a DSP
Hello all, I have recently ported Vorbis to a Texas instruments DSP (TMS320C5510), The problem I have is that it is not decoding the audio in real time( about 50% of real time). Could any one give me a clue in which area I could start to optimize the code. Regards Kevin <p><p><p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage:

Why you MUST use SCGI for Rails development
Hello happy Railers, I used to develop with a local out-of-the-box Apache and load times were pretty slow (like a few seconds each page). "Well, it''s the price to pay for no compile / cache / etc..." I thought. Nonsense. Yesterday I installed SCGI, and now I''ve got the best of both worlds: rails development env uses my very latest modifications, while SCGI ensures I
