Aptana Radrails M7 Beta - Best Way to Upgrade
Hi Just upgraded smoothly to long overdue Aptana M7 Beta which was released on 25/9/2007. FYI, the best way to upgrade from July''s M5 (M6 was skipped) is as follows :- 1) Click Help/Software Upgrades/Finad and Install 2) Manually adding the following update site to the update manager: http://update.aptana.com/update/rails/beta/3.2/site....

R1000 Driver for RTL8110SC NIC on Biostar I945G-M7
...this in the forums but it looks like all the action for CentOS really happens here on the mailing list. Plus I hope this might help some other lost soul since google failed to connect this motherboard to *any* mention of the r1000. I thought I found a great little motherboard in the Biostar I945G-M7 V.2 for a new HD-capable MythTV frontend box I'm putting together. Imagine my dismay when the CentOS 4.4 installer did not recognize the on-board NIC. I haven't had this happen for *years* when installing on new hardware. Biostar's documentation (*and* their tech-support!) states that...

gam(mgcv) starting values
...ts has been found:please supply starting values In addition: Warning message: NaNs produced in: log(x) This is a shortened code I used: gam(y ~ M1 + M3 + M4 + M5 + M6 + sex + M1*M3 + s(age), family=Gamma(link ="identity"), weights=days) If I add for example an additional variable, say M7, the error-message occures. If I add M7 in combination with for example M8 it works. Does somebody know, how to supply starting values or how to handle this problem. I didn?t suxceed by adding control=gam.control(spIterType="outer"), or by sp=137722.1 Thank you very much, Bj?rn

[cfe-dev] [RFC][ARM] -Oz implies -mthumb
I've never tried -mcpu=cortex-xyz but I know -march=armv7 defaults to Thumb OK, I just checked, and -mcpu=cortex-{m3,m4,m7,a7,a9,a15,a53} gives Thumb at -O1, -O1, -Os on the following gcc: arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc (Ubuntu/Linaro 7.3.0-27ubuntu1~18.04) 7.3.0 cortex-m0 fails because it doesn't do hard float. I don't have an eabi compiler around. On Thu, Nov 15, 2018 at 4:14 AM, Tim Northover via cfe-dev < c...

Reversion of rL292621 caused about 7% performance regressions on Cortex-M
Hi Wei, Your reversion of rL292621 caused about 7% performance regressions in our benchmark on Cortex-M7/M4. In your commit comment I see it causes build bot failures. What kind are the failures? Compiler crashes or incorrect code generation? Will you fix them? We are interested in the changes because of performance improvements they give. Kind regards, Evgeny Astigeevich Senior Compiler Engineer Co...

Understanding linear contrasts in Anova using R
#I am trying to understand how R fits models for contrasts in a #simple one-way anova. This is an example, I am not stupid enough to want #to simultaneously apply all of these contrasts to real data. With a few #exceptions, the tests that I would compute by hand (or by other software) #will give the same t or F statistics. It is the contrast estimates that R produces #that I can't seem to
