updating libvorbis
Hello, On a machine with CentOS-5.6, I need libvorbis >= 1.2, so I have recompiled and packaged libvorbis. CentOS-7 on a USB stick
I tried dd-ing the ISO onto a USB stick, as suggested in <http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS7>, but it didn't boot. Did anyone have better luck with this? In any case, I got it working by running livecd-iso-to-disk on a Fedora-20 laptop. I've found before that this is the best program around for the purpose. But I've 2 queries about this: 1. Recommendation for a Linux alternative to Centos - ATH9K disaster
I persuaded a reluctant friend to buy a new computer. I enthusiastically extolled the joys and benefits of Centos and promised to install it on his new machine - dual booting with Micro$oft Windoze 7. His super-duper new laptop arrived.
