calls to SPA942 disconnect after 15 seconds (chan_sip.c set_destination: can't find address)
...s, but calls made from this device do not have this problem.
For this device (when receiving calls) I get periodic "chan_sip.c set_destination: can't find address for host"
I have set the "canreinvite=no" in the sip.conf. Does anyone have a sample entry from sip.conf for the Lynksys SPA 942 to share with me.
Allan.

no nat, but one way only audio (more info)
I've an asterisk 1.2 connecting to a quescom gateway via SIP, the caller
(asterisk) can hear the called, but the called hears nothing.
Since both machines are on public ip, what other problem can it be ?
There's one configuration working :
lynksys pap -sip-> asterisk server -sip-> quescom
this way both sides can hear voice
but with :
lynksys pap connected to a switch -sip-> asterisk client (on the same
switch with one eth and on internet with another one) -iax> asterisk
server -sip-> quescom
voice can only be heard <---...

Some questions re. T1 cards & QoS
...2400P is a new one for me,
how do you connect to it?
If I have to go digital, which of the TE series do I need? Again, I'm
looking for echo cancellation and 1 T1 line. The TE110P offers a
single span T1, but no echo cancellation?
2) Any recommendations on a good QOS router? I'm using a Lynksys
router running Sveasoft currently for my 15 user TDM system, but I
think I'll need something more industrial strength for the new
installation. Any recommendations?
Thanks,
Hugh

ultra-cheap asterisk box -> sorta OT, more a bout Dell
...ook sized IDE disk drives
and to see if _underclocking_ the CPU reduces it's power comsumption
enough that we can save one fan.
Ideally Asterisk will be ported one day to Linux/ARM or some other very
low cost platform. for VOIP you do not need the PCI slots. In theory
Asterisk could run on a Lynksys router box with re-flashed EEPROM.
After all Lynksys' latest wireless router runs Linux inside
Low cost to me means "low total cost of ownership" To get this I don't
think buying the lowest priced parts is the way to go. I want quality
mainboard, and a quality power supply and,...

ultra-cheap asterisk box
hi all
what about this...
I just put together a box on a web shop (komplett.no) that will cost me
NOK ~1850 (? 216) plus a small ?50 drive and cables, so say ?300. This
consists of a cheap MB with a duron 1400, 256MB SDRAM and two HFC-PCI
cards (if capijod will finish off the zaptel-driver soon). This is all
in a cheap PC case.
What do you think? Should this be doable? as a product? With only IP

cisco as5400, sip, asterisk. cisco won't detect that the call is answered
We've got this configuration :
Cisco as5400 --- asterisk main server ---- asterisk for cells ---- gsm
gateway
cisco and the gsm gateway are connected to asterisk via sip, the two
asterisk servers are connected via iax.
On a succesful call the cisco (not always, 60% of the times) will keep
sending a ringtone to the connected phone, even if the call is answered,
actually if the user behind

Anyone know of a pass through ATA
Anyone know of a company that makes a pass through ATA?
By pass through I mean have an Ethernet switch built into the ATA, like most
desktop phones have.
All of the dual ethernet ATA's I have seen have WAN/LAN ports, not two LAN
ports.
I fooled around with DMZ etc...but it just doesn't work as well.
