Finding common an unique elements in character vectors
Dear R-list,
I have a problem which I think is quite basic, but so far google has not
helped me.
I have two vectors like this:
vector_1 <- c(Belgium, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands,
Portugal)
vector_2 <- c(Denmark, Luxembourg)
I would like to find the elements in vector_1 that are not in vector_2
so that i get a vector with these countries: Belgium, Spain, Greece,
Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal.
Thanks a lot,
Thomas

Instrumental variable quantile estimation of spatial autoregressive models
...egression using instrumental variable estimation (according to Su and Yang (2007), Instrumental variable quantile estimation of spatial autoregressive models, SMU economics & statistis working paper series, 2007, 05-2007, p.35 ).
I am applying the hedonic pricing method on land transactions in Luxembourg. My original data set contains 4335 observations.
I'm quite new to R and would like to ask if someone has implemented the method proposed by Su and Yang in R or if anyone could give me a hint on the different codes and steps?
Please find attached a small sample of my data and matrix.

Help about R
Hello,
My name is Philippe Favrot, I'm a french occupational doctor (working in
Luxembourg), and I'm an "R beginner".
I would be happy you could help me about the utilization of "R".
Recently, I measured sound levels in a plant. Before the measuring, I
divided the plant in 3 virtual rows and 8 virtual columns. I measured

asterisk gsm gateway hardware recommendation?
...gateway, that supports sip and chan_blue for
bluetooth connections. Any recommendations?
Basically, I want to end calls to some GSM number in my sip
telephone and for some prefixes dial out using that same sip
telephone. Also sending and receiving SMS will be a plus.
I have a friend living in luxembourg, which would like a slovak
phone number to communicate with friends. It would end on my server at
home and all calls to his sim card will be routed to his ip telephone
in luxembourg (and vice versa).
Support for more than one sim card is a plus. Since it's a
home/hobby use, I would prefer a...

bad interaction between RandomFields 1.1.11 and Sweave
Not really a bug (I eventually discovered), but ...
When running GaussRF()/DoSimulateRF() with n>1, the default pch="!"
prints backspaces to the terminal, which causes problems (LaTeX barfs) if
you're running this within an Sweave() job. Setting RFparameters(pch="")
fixes the problem.
Could put this in the documentation, but I don't know where you could

Anova unbalanced
Hello everybody,
I have got a data set with about 400 companies. Each company has a
score for its enviroment comportment between 0 and 100. These companies
belong to about 15 different countries. I have e.g. 70 companies from
UK and 5 from Luxembourg,- so the data set is pretty unbalanced and I
want to do an ANOVA. Somthing like aov(enviromentscore~country). But the
aov function is just for a balanced design.
So I wonder if I can use fit=lm(enviromentscore~country), anova (fit)
instead? Would this be okay or can it also only be used with bal...

Mounting a previously Windows (ntfs) file system
Hello,
I'm planning a conversion of a Windows server (SBS2011) to Samba.
All the user data files are already on a separate disc in the Windows server and
my idea is to unplug the Windows boot drive and plug in a FreeBSD installation
with Samba 3.6.25 running and tested on another machine.
Fortunately it's a small installation and everybody is using the same share on
the Windows
