combining two models in one controller/view "set"
I''m going to take another stab at this question (my first one received no replies): I have two models: Author has_many: books Book has_one: author I have two tables: authors id ... books id author_id ... I let the scaffolding fly and it created the CRUD goodness for each model, as expected. However, I want to have only one view/controller "set" for both models; when I

creating fixtures for has_many :through
I''m stymied at how to create a fixture that establishes a has_many :through relationship. I''ve watched the railscast at: http://media.railscasts.com/videos/081_fixtures_in_rails_2.mov ... but that''s for HABTM relationships. I''ve read: http://www.ruby-forum.com/topic/145676 but that ultimately doesn''t answer any question. So with no further ado:

Asterisk 1.2 crashing on x64 when transferring a call
Yes, I know, but I'm a 1.2 Luddite. 1.2 on 32 bits has been stable and rock solid for almost 10 years, but the client wanted to try it on a 64 bit version of CentOS 5.9. It all seems to be working OK, but when the customer service agents transfer a call they got from a queue, Asterisk crashes. Has anybody else had issues running 1.2 (or similarly ancient versions) on 64 bit OSes? Can

How to have a form within a form?
Say I am building a blogging platform, and I want to allow users to be able to add an avatar without leaving the page, when they''re writing a post. I need the avatar information to be included in the form for the post. So for example, after a user adds a new avatar while writing a new blog post, it would be available to be selected as the avatar to be used for that post. What is

You disappear for five weeks...
And someone goes and redesigns the look and operation of the Trac. Quite noice, but a couple of comments: * The main toolbar ("Wiki", "Documentation", "Timeline") ends up under the puppet logo on the left hand side, which is a pest. * I can''t click on any link, text box, or button in the main part of the page. All of the navigation links work fine, and I

HFSC and that ATM overhead problem (Another VOIP QoS post. Ahhhh)
G''Day I would like to be able to use my VOIP telephone over a saturated ADSL link whilst enjoying optimum audio quality and utilising all of the bandwidth I pay for. It is about this situation that I write. HFSC appears to be the queueing discipline of choice for VOIP. In order for this to work, though, do I have to account for the ATM overhead in the small VOIP packets by defining my

R ``literal'' comand
I know I am luddite when it comes to list-based languages, such as R. But, even these beasts must occasionally want to access objects at a literal level. For example, to a naive twit like me, x<--print (y) should deposit in x a literal print out of y; that is, x should contain the *results* of applying the print method to y (e.g., something like a tab (or space)-delimited flat

Simple Queue question
Hello, I have a fairly standard call center. I'm running 1.4.23.1. I am trying to get a mechanism where : 1- Employee A can have the phone at his desk ring when a call comes in the queue 2- When already on a call, employee A does not hear a "beep" in his phone because another call is trying to come in It's fairly simple. I tried a few different things: in queues.conf [559]

I'm a 1.2 Luddite so I don't have all these fancy new features :) A different solution to a similar problem. I had problems with abusive callers in my conferences. I whipped up some dialplan and AGI mojo to let an admin mute and unmute individual

Looking for the asterisk 'off' sound file
Hi All, In the Asterisk extra sound file, there is listed in the text file an 'On' and an 'Off' sound prompt but I only have the 'On' file. I have searched through various versions of 1.6, 1.4 and 1.2, and can not find the file. Does anyone have this prompt and can send it to me, gsm or ulaw? Thanks. Hello, Is it possible to connect two *callers* without going through a conference (meetme) ? Example: 06:50pm - User 1 call extension 600 and musiconhold / parked call .. 06:51pm - User 2 call extension 600 and connect to User 1. Use of AGISIGHUP
Hi, I am setting AGISIGHUP=no before running a Perl script via AGI but it doesn't seem to be doing anything as the script is still exiting on a hangup and not completing properly. I am using 1.4.35 and have tried various combinations. Can anyone shed any light on this? Regards Lee -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
