I believe splayer is only intended to be a Win32 executable. Note that it is in a directory
labelled "experimental".

A listing in the FAQ somewhere that the player example absolutely must have
static versions of SDL, artsc, and libasound (and libogg/libvorbis and
whatever other libraries I've missed) might be helpful, since the example
player(s) are apparently currently the only way to exam...

problems with PJSIP install on UBUNTU 14.04
Ok I did all that and it's still crashing. I did find some other areas I think that shouldn't have had any of those files, so I thought it would work, because I got rid of ALL of them per your instructions and completely reconfigured and compiled both pjsip and then asterisk.
