smbclient fails NT_STATUS_INVALID_HANDLE with Windows 7 KB4480970
...The tests below are with a custom compiled copy of the
latest smbclient (4.9.4) for troubleshooting purposes but the
distribution-packaged version exhibits the same behavior.
Here is the failing connection with KB4480970 installed:

Domain member (2k8R2) server, problem mapping Kerberos/NSS users

Any ideas what could be wrong with my setup?
Is there something missing regarding the mapping of Kerberos principals
to NSS accounts?

sysvolcheck on fresh samba 4.7 DCs

/var/lib/samba/sysvol" displayed no extended ACLs at all.
