Error while unpacking program, code LP5 ...
...a win32 VSTi which installed fine on a fresh install of wine 1.1.15 (debian sid, dell latitude laptop, intel board, pentium M).
The audio environment is fine (jack, ALSA) and other VSTis work nicely. But this one does not, it craps out the error message
"Error while unpacking program, code LP5".
I googled this error msg on the net, and most of the time, it pops up due some stuff regarding anti-virus, etc. But there's no such thing with wine, so I am wondering what can cause that. It is a real PITA. Anyone had seen this error message under wine ?

need help printing to Brother MFC-3320CN
I'm trying to print in Linux to this Windows-only printer. I'm using LPRng. Both the printer and my windows interface (win4lin) are on the same LAN. I've added a new printer device lp5 in /etc/printcap, with an if line for the smbprint script when I send a command to that printer.
A logfile reports that the server name and service name are correctly passed to the smbclient program. The printer's IP address is accessed successfully. Unfortunately, the connection with the pri...

Greetings;
Its unk because whats plugged in seems to be blocking the rear name plate.
About all I can recall is that its big, 3 battery unit, rated somewhere
north ob 1250 VA.
Its an 050D:0751 Belkin.
What driver should I use, and what file is that set in?
The nut version presently and freshly installed is from the Ubuntu 10.04.4
LTS repo's. Probably old, but IIRC it also worked with

Call me confused at best.
Guidance needed yet, obviously. I've had several birthdays since we last
conversed, so I am now 80yo, and definitely seeing the effects of poorer
short term memory. Darnit...

Doubts about sharing a winprinter
Hi there,
I own a domestic lan with two computers, mine and my mother's one. Mine is called GREENDEMON and the other one is called BLUEDEMON and they both are configured to run on the REDLOCAL workgroup. I've Debian Woody running on GREENDEMON and Windows 98 running on BLUDEMON, with an attached Nec Silentwriter Superscript 610 printer. This printer is only compatible with Windows 9x

Best Printer Setup
Hi,
I've been toying with the idea of using the Linux machine as a print
server. I'm using RedHat 5.2 and Samba 2.0.3. I already have one remote
printer share working... but I can't figure out where the PrintTool in
RedHat is storing the remote printers IP address. Anyone know where? :)
(not important just bugging me - I hate when OS's hide stuff)
I have the Samba book
