Cepstral/Swift TTS app

will get in generating audio. So you can trade off swift process
concurrency vs memory use.

If anyone can make use of this, great! Or let me know if it's horribly
broken. All I can say at this point is that it works really well for me in
a TTS/IVR system I'm developing.

Delay when ringing internal extensions on incoming zap call
I have a TDM400P with 2 FXO cards and I'm using Asterisk@Home 2.8
I noticed that when I place a call to the analog lines from outside,
Asterisk takes a while to actually ring the extension the call is
being sen to.
I've been doing some tests, calling from my cellphone and here is what I see...
- After the first ring on my cell, Asterisk logs to the CLI that is
has an incoming call

app_swift: Failed to set voice
I'm trying to get app_swift (v0.9.1 from http://www.loopfree.net/app_swift/) working, but it's having issues (see below). I'm running 1.4.0beta3 on FC6. Any thoughts?

Cepstral voices
what's the easiest way of using cepstral voices with asterisk ? On their
website, in the ssml page
(http://www.cepstral.com/cgi-bin/support?page=ssml), they say
"Asterisk PBX
SSML can be used with Cepstral voices in Asterisk by simply embedding
the markup into the input text."
what input text ? To what application ?
Thanks !

agi+cepstral driving me nuts
I just got cepstal working fine in the dial plan using code like:
exten => 511,5,AGI(cepstral.pl|Welcome to my house finder. At the beep
enter your zip code.)
The php script it calls is based on the nerdvittles weather one so it calls
a webpage which prints to the screen, the nerdvittles code uses system to
generate the .wav file then has the dial plan call it via:
//php script
$retcode2 =

911 @ Zap Channel Breakin
Ok here is one for you.
I know we all do the this for 911:
exten => _911,1,Dial(Zap/1/911)
exten => _9911,1,Dial(Zap/1/911)
And this probably is more then acceptable for most of us. However I
have a system setup that uses SIP for most calls and 1 POTS line. We
use a "least cost" routing that uses the POTS line for local calls AND
SIP when appropiate. What I want to do is
