[sorta offtopic] Removing bad bytes from filenames
...ad filenames. Like the example I cite above, I can't seem to actually pass the correct parameter to rename to get it to remove \0277 from my filenames. I really don't want to do this manually. $ ls -b *Thou*18* Various\ -\ O\ Brother,\ Where\ Art\ Thou\277\ (18)\ -\ Fairfield\ Four\ -\ Lonesome\ Valley\ [4.07].ogg $ rename Thou\0277 Thou *.ogg $ ls -b *Thou*18* Various\ -\ O\ Brother,\ Where\ Art\ Thou\277\ (18)\ -\ Fairfield\ Four\ -\ Lonesome\ Valley\ [4.07].ogg Any bright ideas? Awk, maybe? Hmm. Thanks. -Chris PS Sorry for being off topic. I'm sure other Vorbis enthusiasts have...

StructType --> DICompositeType?
Is there a more convenient way to obtain a DIType given a Type than matching up the strings for the names? For example, given: struct S { int x, y; } s; void foo(S *a) { a->x = 0; a->y = 1; } There are DIType nodes for the struct Type: !6 = distinct !DICompositeType(tag: DW_TAG_structure_type, name: "S", file: !3, line: 1, size: 64, flags: DIFlagTypePassByValue,

four wildcards in a single pc
Hi. Please excuse me asking this again. But it really puzzles me. We're installing asterisk at a branch office at NJ (HQ is at Petach-Tikva) It'll need to support 5 POTS lines, 11 analog extensions and four VOIP phones. I wanted to go with a T1 card from digium and a channel bank, but we have a dead line. It has to be up and running by January 1st. I don't have the time to start

Why Are You Using FreeBSD?
Hi Everyone, This is off-topic, so please feel free to disregard it, but I'm sending it to this list in the hope that it will reach a largish number of users. I am currently looking at updating some of our advocacy material (which advertises exciting new features like SMP support), and before I do I'd like to get a better feel for why the rest of you are using FreeBSD.
