Hint to overcome the problem with animated cursors??
Hi
I'm looking for a instruction (for dummies) about how to overcome the problem of invisible mouse pointers (animated cursors) that seem to be common amongs strategy games. (example: perimeter)
I'm a newbie with linux and i've been spoiled by the point&click and plug&play usage of computers since Amiga 500 around 1987. :)
kind regards

Test: patch to add adva, ced d3d settings in winecfg
Hello everybody...
My patch to add advanced d3d settings in winecfg is almost ready.
In fact, i only have to figure out how to detect video memory size to

me to use DirectDraw, but i wouldn't find.
So that is the last thing (except some better naming...) to do for this patch.
Everything works well and i would like some

WoW Performance - Degrades over Time
Hi All,
I've posted for some suggestions in the WoW forums, but it's been suggested that I post here as well, as I'm more likely to get someone who has a clue :)
PROBLEM
======
After an extended play time in one area (~ 1 hour), or rapid travel between areas, the performance degrades substantially. It goes from 60+ FPS to about 5FPS and doesn't recover until I restart the game.

Appiing patches to wine GIT
I have never applied patches to wine, so i have a question:
I downloaded wine git , then copied cursor-patches-1.1.8.patch to wine source dir, then
When i entered
$patch -p1 < cursor-patches-1.1.8.patch
#receive
$Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected! Assume -R? [n]
Does it miens that patch no needed? Already installed?
