Binary locations
...So the binaries are: 1) These probably belong to bin/ or sbin/ or both: - authtest - dovecotpw - doveadm 2) Binaries that you might want to call from mail_executable setting: - rawlog - gdbhelper 3) Index file dumping programs, mostly meant for debugging problems: - idxview - listview - logview - mailboxlogview - threadview 4) Some extra tools that might be useful sometimes: - imap-utf7 : Encode/decode IMAP mailbox names (mUTF-7 <-> UTF-8) - maildirlock : Lock a Maildir, primarily intended for compressing files in maildir And perhaps some of the binaries should be renamed? Newbie: unable to access mailbox more than once
Hello, I'm using dovecot as a mail relay so that I can back up my providers IMAP mail locally. I'm impressed how easy this was to set up, but I'm having a quirk that I would like help with, if possible. There are many weak links in my set-up chain, if you will, but I think I've narrowed the problem. I'll describe my set-up anyway. I'm running dovecot 1.1.4 on ubuntu

Maildir loses keywords in index beyond 26
...goes up to 26 and then further keywords are dropped. I ran the tests with a simple script that feeds the lines from "commands" to Dovecot one at a time and waits for the "OK" before the next one. Test mailbox created with: for i in `seq -f %02g 0 99`; do echo "Test message #$i" | mail -s "Test message #$i" sandbox at localhost; sleep 1; done For the maildir test I used the conversion script: Step 2: su sandbox -c '...
