Logrithmic histogram?
I have some data where the frequency is heavily weighted on the lower end.
So I have lots of low values with very few higher values. I would like to
find breakpoints that cover the data with as much detail as possible. I find
that if I use hist() to automatically find the breaks for me it finds breaks
that are too coarse for the low values. I have tried the other algorithms

rpart for survival fits
Hello Gurus:
When I plot a survival fit using rpart for the classification tree, for each node, there is a decimal based number above the event/total. I tried to see if it's the exponential ratio or logrithmics, neither seem to be the case. I'm wondering if anyone knows what they are.
Thanks,
Karen

neural networks with RSNNS
Hello All!
I am training to train a NN with function train() after splitting data with
the function splitForTrainingAndTest(). The split is ok (checked it), but
when I get a try on training I get this message:
Error in UseMethod("train") :

Just to dispel any hopes -- RC3 really low bitrate
I've just done some rudimentary testing to see how Vorbis degrades at
absurdly low bitrates without downsampling. In summary, don't hope for
anything decent below -q 0 for now. I tried oggenc -b <bitrate> -M
<bitrate> for the below and a few in between:
24k - spectral energy "floor" captured decently, but many pure-tone
blips (think old computer movie sound effects)
