IAX peers and NAT
Help, I'm stuck. Lost in the woods. I have one Asterisk running on FreeBSD outside on the Wild Internet. One on the safe inside, behind a NAT firewall. The inside server registers with IAX to the outer one and can place calls. The outside one can't register to the one on the inside, since it can't be reached on the private network. Now to my problem: * How do I dial from outside to

Loginname - mapping
...me imail, some linux, some with virtualmin and some manually and through aquisitons etc it has all ended up in one server. Now we are setting up atmail to replace imp. The loginprocess of atmail is a bit different in that you just type in your mail address and atmail tries a few combinations of loginnames to login. However, some of the combinations over atmail cant login to. Some of them works fine when using this line in dovecot.conf auth_username_translation = @_ Is there any facility to let dovecot do username mapping? If I eg have a file: usermapping that looks like this: user at domain1.c...

Login with firstname.lastname instead of loginname
Some of our users use to login as firstname.lastname or firstname.lastname at charite.de instead of using the "correct" "flastname" login name. In order to get this behaviour a long-gone co-worker wrote an authdaemon.pl, which speaks the courier-authdaemon protocol. How can I emulate this behaviour with dovecot? Basically, all I need is a usernamen mapping ala:

Login with firstname.lastname instead of loginname - WORKING
3 years ago (!) I aksed about this and finally I implemented it today: >> # NEW >> passdb { >> driver = passwd >> # firstname.lastname at charite.de:password:uid:gid:(gecos):home:(shell):user=realloginname >> args = /usr/local/etc/dovecot.login_via_email >> } >If you're only using it as a passdb, you don't need the uid/gid/home.

[Bug 937] ssh2 pubkey auth broken by user:style syntax
...in case of [:style] (or [/role] in the Debian SELinux patch) a modified version. Attached a simple patch to solve the issue, which also makes the comment in auth.h valid again. I am not an OpenSSH expert, and I cannot validate if in all cases this will work as intended, but for regular (non-style loginnames) this cannot do any harm, so it can only work for the better. As a side-effect of this change, a validation of username-change triggered, which had to be avoided by another simple modification. With this patch applied, you can login to a server with your public-key with username:style as your lo...

GSSAPI and virtual Users?
Hi, is there a possibility to map login-names to allowed Kerberos-Principals? At the moment GSSAPI-authentication seems to work only if loginname and kerberos-principal are the same, or am I missing something? It would be really great to use GSSAPI-auth with virtual users. Thanks a lot! S. Thias

IAXTEL - Problem Configuration.
Ok folks I have another question. So far I have gotten my IAXTEL number and I have been able to make calls from my asterisk system to any IAXTEL number and even to FWD numbers. I also got FWD to work and I now can get calls to my main system. It's great when these things work. But when I call my own IAXTEL number 17005441100 all I get is a message saying the user is un registered or un
