I only want to stream one mono audio feed to icecast, but am already using the Line input of my sound card for something else, and the mic input might be far to sensitive. Is it possible to force Icecast to stream in a specific stream type, such as OGG, regardless of the source or input? For example, if a streaming client connects to an Icecast server with an MP3 format stream, can Icecast be forced to send it out as OGG or AAC or anything else? Or does Icecast simply pass the stream through unconverted?

Hi all.. I'm having a memory leak issue with Ices2 (using package 2.0.1-8 from Debian stable on arm platform).. I've tried turning off metadata, modifying samplerate, and some other misc. things that haven't helped. Eventually, during a stream, ices2 will invoke oom-killer and bring the whole system down. It eats about 0.05MB/Sec of memory, so it takes a while, but this plug has
