vorbisfile.o givng me problems
I have been having problems compling vorbis on my computer( running redhat 7.1 ), it gives me a bunch of errors about vorbisfile.o( at least that what the errors are complaining about...I don't know enough to figure out what is wrong ). Below is the output I get from compile: Making all in examples make[1]: Entering directory `/home/mchavez/devel/vorbis/examples' /bin/sh ../libtool

How would I convert this program to output exactly the same thing but only for all the (noop) operations. We keep puppet in noop mode to audit its actions before they are applied. Thus it is necessary to ensure we understand exactly what all the nodes noop operations would be if we listed the noop restriction for a normal apply. This program will report in a reasonable format for those non-noop

dovecot logs to audit.log not to maillog
Hello, I have a curious phenomenon. Dovecot logs normally to /var/log/maillog. If I restart my server, dovecot loggs to /var/log/audit/audit.log. If I restart dovecot, dovecot loggs to /var/log/maillog again. And I think, wenn logrotate is restarting, dovecot logs to audit.log. But I don't know why. Any Ideas? greetings Ralf

Problem linking libvorbisfile on Mac OS X
I'm working on getting the Darwin/Mac OS X port of Vorbis up and running again and have run into problems building libvorbisfile. I have installed the latest libtool (1.3.5) and modified it to handle Darwin/Mac OS X better (to create shared libraries, dylibs, that can be linked against other dylibs instead of creating bundles which cannot be used as input to the linker). But, when it tries

Error using a data frame as the "start" parameter in mle()
Dear R-Users, I am trying to use mle() to optimize two (or more) parameters, but I want to specify those parmeters in a data frame rather than having to spell them out separately in the "start" variable of mle(). My call is > mle(negll, start=list(aps=init), fixed=list(measphot=newphot, formod=formod, Nbands=Nbands), method="BFGS") where negll is a function I have

Building theora
Hello, I'm trying to get theora built. However there is not a page listing what depdencies there are. Would it be possible to have a developers page with the point release tarballs etc? (There is subversion access, but I do not have subversion for my OS). I could not find libtheora release, only an alpha, this wasn't very clear, it has been released now I think. The libogg and

libvorbisfile dynamic linkage with pkg-config - inter-library dependencies?
Audacity is preparing to release version 2.0.6 shortly, so I have been doing numerous test builds. Since the last Audacity release, my development system (Gentoo Linux) has updated to libvorbis-1.3.4 and libogg-1.3.1. As a result (I think) of this, I now get link errors when trying to compile Audacity against the system copies of libogg and libvorbis (standard dynamic linkage to the system

Hello I am new at this. I have compiled the libogg and libvorbis libraries and installed them on my MacOS X machine. The libao cannot be compiled yet since stuff is missing. But I only want to play round with encoding right now. So I also unpacked the vorbis tools distribution and am in oggenc. In oggenc I do a cc *.c -I. -L/usr/local/lib -logg -lvorbis -lvorbisenc I get unknown symbols
