C++ Set_Metadata Problem
I refer to a problem that appeared on the flac list last August that was
either solved off-list or abandoned.
The problem is with using the C++ encoder classes, particularly the
FLAC::Encoder::File:set_metadata
function. JC said that the developers version of how to add a simple
metadata block looked right, but it did not work for

[PATCH 3/3] dib: rename "aux" to "in_target.aux"
Sadly, there are elements (hello "gentoo"!) that, during the cleanup.d
phase, wipe out almost everything in the /tmp of the guest, including
the /tmp/aux where virt-dib mounts the auxiliary data. Since that
removal excludes things starting with "in_target" (mostly to avoid
wiping the "in_target.d" that disk-image-create itself sets up, then
rename our "aux"

[PATCH 1/3] dib: unset all temporary dirs envvars in fake-sudo
The real sudo does it as well, and leaving them when preserving the
environment (-E) maybe breaks the applications, as e.g. chroot will have
a TMPDIR path pointing outside of it.

bind or samba configuration preventing browsing network
I have a networking problem where I am not certain if the problem is
samba or bind. I am still pretty much a nb at linux. The machine in
question is running openSuSE 10.2 and is named rd1. I had samba working
fine before I started to make it a WINS server and DNS host.
I have a small LAN with no real administration functionality. The
network is used for simple file sharing and dial-up

patch for openssh3.5p1 - adds logging option
this patch adds a LogFile option to sshd_config. it just logs messages
directly to a file instead of stderr or syslog. the largest change
is an additional argument to log_init() in log.c for the log file name
(and then changes to the rest of the tools to add a NULL arg).

Queue and Dial operation - Common Variables?
Hi All,
I am trying to implement ACD using Asterisk 1.2.18 and I've chosen
AgentCallbackLogin for login purpose. One AGI is written which will actually
get executed when agent dials '1001' (say) from his SIP phone and enters
into the queue. Second AGI gets executed when the Dial operation is
performed. I see the agi_uniqueid obtained from both AGI instances are
different and I

ferret search in production
Hi there,
after recently deploying my app, I have noticed that the search
results are not being displayed...
When I look in my app, I also notice that the apps content (search
criterea) is not being indexed, so I dont have an index folder being
created.
I read on a google post that it may be that the ferret.yml server
isn''t started (or perhaps the content of this file are not right)

Remote MWI via IAX?
We have a couple of Asterisk boxes with one being the main system with
everyone's voicemail and the other a slave used merely to link a couple
of remote phones to the main system using IAX.
How can one propagate message waiting indication from the main system to
the remote phones?

what does lp_log_file mean??
I have some problems when I read the code of the rsync.
There are many reference such as lp_log_file, lp_uid, lp_include_from,
etc. in the file clientserver.c and log.c . Who can tell what do they
mean? Are they functions? Where I can find the particular information
about them?
Thanks!

where is WEBrick (daemon mode) output? not in log/server.log
I am running WEBrick in daemon mode (with the -d option). Where is the
server output that would ordinarily be on my console if I ran without
the -d option?
APP_ROOT/log/server.log is empty and not being appended to, though it is
owned by the same user WEBrick is running as and has write permissions.
The only files in APP_ROOT/log are:
development.log
production.log
server.log
test.log

[PATCH] dib: rework run of extra-data.d hooks (RHBZ#1362354)
Instead of running them before lanching the appliance with the disks and
then uploading the result after root.d hooks run, mount the root in the
local temporary directory using FUSE and then run the hooks on the
guest. Other than being closer to what diskimage-builder does, it also
avoids issues with the extra-data.d scripts assuming to find things
already, and we don't error out while trying
