Dial Rules in localprefixes.conf
...ait a second, dial 9 to get an outside line, wait a second for
the outside line, and then dial the number to be called. When ever I
save this in amp anything after the first # disappears. When I try to
call out it doesn't do the adding of the prefix. I don't think its even
able to parse localprefixes.conf. does anyone know how I can accomplish
this?
if I get rid of the #'s it adds the prefix and dials fine, but the pbx

does any one have experience setting up E1 PRI in Shanghai, China?
it works fine when we use SIP phone to dial out, however when
using forward function on the same phone, it seems like it's dialing
out but there's actually no respond from the phone company (China Telecom)
and eventually the dial command will timed out.
here's our PRI portion of zapata.conf:

Dear Customer Support,

some problems with asterisk and E1
Hi,
I am using asterisk 1.2.5 and have some problems with asterisk connected with
an E1 card to our PRI. Dialling in and out generally works. When someone dials
in from a mobile phone, all numbers are sent as a block, and the called
extension rings as intended. when someone picks up his phone handset, waits
for a dial tone, and then dials in manually, the call will be redirected to

PRI CallerID - leading zero added
Hello List!
We have problems setting the right caller id on outgoing calls. The
Asterisk Pbx is located
in Bucarest(Romania), our Telco provider is rcs-rds.ro. We have the
local telefon number
40787 00-99, associated to our PRI E1 Line. Where 00-99 are the DID
numbers available.
The telco is aspecting a 3 digit long Callerid from us, for example
like "710", for the extension 10.

chan_capi and chan_misdn
Could someone please comment on the current state of chan_capi,
chan_misdn and chan_modem channel drivers in terms of functionality and
stability. Specifically, which channel driver would be best for a
passive PCI HFC or W6692 ISDN card. The chan_misdn wiki claims that
chan_capi distinguishes between junghanns and non-junghans cards, and
that chan_misdn is better suited for general misdn
