Samba as a client to Windows2000 + special characters on filenames
Greetings!
I have been troubleshooting this for over a week, and what follows is a rather
long, detailed description. The short description to the problem I have been
dealing with is: I can't access files on a windows2000 server from a Linux
client when their filenames have some specific special characters such as "?" I
can list them, but not copy.
The setup:

The server works somewhat ok', it correctly pull and unwind the data from AD,
members do login properly remotely and localle, but this one share gives me
nuts.
No members can access it, only domain admins, despite security tab in Windows
claiming that "Everyone" have "read and execute" access to the share and all
files and folders inside it.
Again, this is a member server, not DC.

scandinavian letters or charset problem?
Hi!
This teamware mailclient (teamware.com) that we use at the office has
problems adding files as attachments from our Samba 3.0.2a share. The
attachment file browser sees the files but fails to add them as
attachments (with an error message: "valid.stf - file not found"
regardless of the file name in question). I tracked this thing down to

Samba Password Problems (Alt-Characters)
Good Afternoon All:
Here is the setup:
A RedHat 7.2 Samba 2.2.7 Server upgraded to Fedora Core 1 Samba 3.0.6-2.FC1.
The server is acting as the PDC. No Windows servers are providing
authentication.
Windows 2000 clients.
testparm -v | grep "unix charset" results in UTF-8.
locale charmap results in ISO-8859-1.
